Are all FWC ships partially transparent (un textured) Bungie can you fix this please?
I was happy to get the FWC ship until i saw it from behind and beneath, it looks transparent in some animations. You can see it clearly in the animation of the exlcusion zone when you get dropped off by your ship. I get the impression that there are other ships that arnt finished (Birth of History, iron banner ship) and that the person or people in charge of the ship models havnt paid attention to detail. This spoils the experience of the game.
Either the model is not finished or the texture normals need to be flipped (the Plains on the bottom part of the ship need to be turned around for the ship to look solid). Bungie can you fix this please??

1 ReplyYeah so if you look at the 3D models of each of the faction ships in the armory. All of them have missing geometry so it looks deliberate. My thought is that they did it because it allows these ships to look different from the back. In fact some of the only times I've seen these ships in game is that I recognized that they have a slimmer profile while in the warp loading screen. It would be nice if Bungie said something about it though. Deliberate or not? Would it be so hard to add some geometry to these ships? Please fix Bungie

Got mine the other day and can confirm it has same problem as yours, looks amazing when you can see it all though.

I cant see how this is too hard to fix. If you were 3d modeling with a program such as Blender all you have to do is select the ship, select edit mode, pick the plains that look transparent then just select 'flip normals'. Fixed the ship would look solid

5 RepliesI'm sorry, Zeldon, that's really unfortunate. I did the grind for the New Monarchy ship which, fortunately, doesn't have this problem (FYI to anyone grinding for it). As others have noted, there are other really bad texture issues and such in-game. For example, the old version of the Iron Banner titan mark severely clips through the leg of the character model. Several titan marks go beserk when you get on a sparrow and look awful.

wish dead orbits ship had their emblem on their ship. its easy to see that thats a FWC ship. Dead orbits ship however i gotta tell people it is or else they think its just some random ship. kinda disappointing

2 RepliesWow I didn't know the FWC ship was so badly mapped, I was once grinding to earn that, glad I stopped. Thankfully my New Monarchy ship is fine. However like others my Birth of History suffers poor mapping. Good post and I hope they fix that ship for you and everyone else.
