I think all that dragon's breath needs is a slight buff to the pyromancer perk. Just hear me out. What if, in addition to Dragons Breath leaving a solar flare on it's area of impact, it also created solar flares as it flew through the air. This would utilize Dragons Breath's low velocity (makes more solar flares as it flies, leaving an impassible line of fire for a short period of time) . Makes it so that Dragons Breath would actually NOT benefit from tracking because it would be better to fire off dragon's breath straight so that you can close of an area more effectively than a single grenade. (makes dragon's breath better than a single solar flare grenade). In a PVE aspect, Dragon's breath could effectively trap bosses in a confined area (making the boss easier to snipe and hit). Overall. this perk tweek would make dragon's breath into a perfect support weapon for players and live up to it's namesake, giving the player the ability to create walls of fire (just like a real dragon). I hope you take this into account bungie.
P.S. Nerf Thorn to 3 head shot kill. Give Super Good Advice the Persistence perk rather than crowd control (this would utilize Super Good Advice's ability to fire consistently with little penalty to missing).
Thanks for listening,

Edited by HastyOutburst: 7/18/2015 8:33:58 PMI think that there may be a few different buffs that Bungie could try to make The Dragon a more fearsome exotic rocket launcher. The first and simplest buff would be to make the triple tube perk natural to the weapon, and replace it with the grenades and horseshoes perk. This would give the Dragon a little help with it's slow speed and lack of tracking while keeping it different from it's exotic brothers. The next possible buff is a little harder to apply, but could make the Dragon a true rival to Truth / Gjallerhorn. Instead of having a three rocket magazine, the new Dragon would have one shot before reloading, while slightly increasing reload speed. The rocket itself would still travel slowly , not track, but on detonation create cluster bombs that would spread out from the center and turn into solar flares. This change would allow Dragons Breath to become something special by making it the suppression weapon for bosses and swarms, with the potential to do as well as Gjallerhorn, while keeping both viable in their own niches.
