The update isnt happening until september so enjoy the weapon until then. They are not likely to change it and the only real affect it will have is that it takes a bit longer to kill bosses because the wolfpack rounds do less damage. Carry some extra heavy ammo packs and your fine no big issue really in my mind since its easy to get and stacks to 100 now.
