Skolas - Far too much of an investment in time
Completing Skolas requires far too much of an investment in time. I have two characters and have managed to complete Skolas twice (once on each character - post burn removal), so this isn't a post stemming from bitterness, but from frustration.
With 5 rounds before the man himself, with 3 waves of enemies per round for the first 4 rounds and a boss in the fourth, that's 13 waves of enemies before you get to Skolas. Assuming, best case of about 10 mins per wave, with no wipes, that's almost two hours of grinding to get through the rounds.
Realistically though, it's pretty damn difficult to go flawless.and on some of my attempts, including the successful ones, some rounds themselves have taken well in excess of an hour.
Forgetting about Skolas, I think any activity which requires a solid 2 hours of grinding with no option of being able to save and come back, is flawed. Maybe some of us, or even a lot of us have no issue allocating hours of time to spend on a single activity, but surely not us all?
And this isn't even factoring in taking down Skolas. The quickest I have managed to do this was 25 mins. My other successful attempt was closer to an hour and a half.
My 5 attempts at Skolas have taken anything between 4 hours and one unsuccessfully attempt was closer to 9!!!!! Given the fact the rewards are poor, especially considering the effort and considering it's so hard to get a team to be able to commit to that sort of solid chunk of time, I have zero interest in running it again.
Surely Bungie can not expect people to be able to invest that much time in one continuous chunk?

there comes a point where its not worth doing, the rewards are shit and it can take a bit of time, better of running 3 characters through poe 32-34
