I woke up this morning in my down pillow comforter to the illegally downloaded ringtone I have set for my alarm. Groggy as ever, I began to get ready for the normal routine day of living. I slip on my pastel skinny jeans, a Black Veil Brides tee, and a cardigan. My eyesight has been fuzzy, so I throw on a pair of wayfarer eyeglasses to alleviate my struggle. The black on black Chuck Taylor's are an obvious choice.
I go to Starbucks and get a mochiatto, decafinated, with 16 splenda. Just to get me through the day really. After a 10 minute long chat with the barista, I sit in the cafe for two hours observing the happenings on social media and in the celebrity world. Bunch of idiots, so swayed to conform to public opinion. But that's what gets the money I guess, an idealist like myself would just offend people more than be praised by them. I'm such a rebel. I really do hate those ignorant money pits like Miley Cyrus. She's just an over glorified whore who wants to act as if she's "different" to attract attention. I mean is this seriously what we want our kids listening to?
Anyways, I walk about two blocks, desperately trying to avoid the homeless people on every corner. Absolutely disgusting to think that they're doing nothing with their lives. I arrive at my office building, head to my cubicle, where I am the head editor of the modern society journalism section.
We write about a lot of things, mostly our frustrations of what is wrong with modern society. All these songs about "ho's and cash", these over-sensitive parents, victims of social injustice such as slut shaming, fat shaming, gender shaming, etc. Our column has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, so much so that we've regrettably bended the truth here and there to stay relevant. What does it really matter anyways? I mean we have workers that need to get paid and this is how we achieve that.
If we tell a little fib now and then about a celebrity, it won't really be a big deal, because in all reality, at least we're doing something productive in society, unlike most people.
