Sepiks prime. Taniks. Archon priest. Skolas. Wretched knight. Phogoth. Fallen walkers. Cabal tank. Nexus. Case closed. I can pop 30 shots into each of those while only having 3 in the mag and 0 in reserve. It's a bit overkill.

  • Not all of them are as simple to chain shots with. Skolas, Taniks (on the adds part) and the Knight (PoE) you have to deal with adds. Regardless, BH was not what was broken in those fights. The encounters were set in such a way that sitting back and shooting from far and being safe was the BEST WAY TO GET THROUGH THE CONTENT. Bungie mistakenly believes that those 2 snipers are the reason we just sit back and snipe away. It's not. These changes will not lead to people being more aggressive during NF, weekly, heroic or raids; people will just sit back and wait for synth to cool down or for IB to recharge. It will just increase playing time artificially. No one in their right mind will bumrush a walker in NF even after the nerfs. They'll just sit back and wait longer. That is all that is being changed. The strategy remains the same. So if their goal was to change player's playing style, they're not going to achieve that. They'll just replace weapon usage and alienate the player base by artificially increasing difficulty.

  • Only in theory. In practice you'd have to stop to deal with adds

  • Yeah right lol. Most of them don't have ads, or there's not enough, or the ads aren't aggressive, or you can sit back and hide.

  • Every single boss in the game spawns adds. All of them without exception. Even if the adds aren't what you consider strong, they still shoot you. You know what that does? It makes you screen shake which messes up your shots. That means you have to deal with them.

  • On each of those encounters there are areas in the map where adds cannot reach you or shoot you, rendering them irrelevant and you free to continue spamming shots.

  • I only know about such spots in the nexus, fallen walker and cabal tanks. These strikes are easy and a joke with or without BH. What really matters is the endgame content.

  • Team mates clearing adds for you to focus on boss is called team work. It doesn't mean the weapon by itself is OP.

  • It still is ridiculously powerful, you just need to get ammo every once and a while, is that uncalled for?

  • Exactly. You could do that with any other sniper. BH isn't broken, it's the way the encounters are set up that is the problem. This update will not change how we approach encounters, it will merely increase our playing time artificially.

  • Exactly, BH was not broke, not one bit. It benefited sniping accuracy and forced ppl to get better, now it's broke to the point if being almost useless.
