It's not "something like" 60% increase. It's exactly 60% increase, and that's a huuuge nerf. And the black hammer I used only in specific situations, and only in pve, because it's not that easy to land three consecutive critical shots. Now they just trashed it by modifying the original perk. When it comes to sniper rifles, I don't care that much about reloading. What I really want is a large mag. I used to ignore that ridiculous small magazine of Black Hammer because of white nail. Now I'd rather get another sniper rifle and reforge with better perks. Black hammer was far from a game breaker weapon, now it's just trash. And about the whole exotic nerfs, such as Gjallarhorn, that was alays the kickass weapon that kept me motivated to keep playing in order to get. But I always did every activity available without it. Now Bungie wants to nerf it because of rumors of bullying?!?! To those people: Oh, come on, grow a pair, get a squad, it's not hard (98% of the people I play with I met playing it), and get things done! And who said that a perk in a fictional game has to make sense?

It's something like a 60% increase i believe. That's pretty substantial. If they'd give us 7 rounds for the initial mag it wouldn't be so painful before if you had good trigger discipline you wouldn't have to worry about sitting back and makeing sandwiches. With an 8 second wait I feel like that's what's going to happen no matter what. They are just encouraging this behavior.

Why making ammo come from reserve instead of thin air makes sense?

It is if you use it in trials. Ammo spawns after 30 seconds in each round. Ice breaker would take 48 seconds to regenerate the same amount of ammo that could be taken from the box after 30 seconds. I think you need to check yourself before you express yourself. ;)
