Because you can literally take down Strike bosses in about 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure Bungie didn't spend all that time coding boss enemies just to have them go down before they can fight back. #SaveTheStrikeBosses.

You can take them down fast because you are a higher level than them. If I'm 34, I fully expect to be able to destroy a level 28 strike boss. I thought that's the whole point in levelling up our characters? So enemies are easier to kill. It's double standards, if I'm level 22 and a level 28 boss is able to destroy me then it should work vice versa. It's a word Bungie use but obviously don't know the meaning of... BALANCE.

Yeah. Problem is that goes straight out the door with TTK, those weapons will have higher damage and better stats which will make your point moot.

Wtf did they code.Strike bosses are literally bigger versions of one the enemies. Nexus is a literal copy and paste
-
No, they just programmed them to be big walking bullet sponges with no game mechanics whatsoever. Lord help us that there's a weapon which deals with these boring, bullet sponge bosses just a little quicker.

Coding? You mean the additional health they keep adding after each DLC? Every boss in the game is just a stationary bullet sponge with a crit spot. Maybe if they had some creativity and designed those strikes so that some bosses required challenges instead of just more shots instead then the Hammer wouldn't be unfairly nerfed like this. Or perhaps the fact that TTK just is more of the same content they had to do it in order to increase estimated playtime.

Edited by Bryce: 7/18/2015 8:18:52 PMMaybe if Bungie made unique boss battles that weren't just bullet sponges we wouldn't have to use black hammer. But running the same boring bullet sponge strike over and over. Yeah I'm gonna black hammer him to death. Plus a lot of bosses can't even be crit locked that easy anyways. It's still hard to continuously do Only the devil walker is mega easy
I'm pretty sure Bungie didn't spend all that time coding boss enemies
I took this part of your comment because this is all that needs to be said. I'm sorry but if they would make their boss fights more unique (excluding raids), they wouldn't even have this problem. This is a reason we find these damn repeat missions so boring. Most people don't mind running a raid multiple times but in my opinion a strike is a hell of a lot worse. Again, in my opinion.
