If you're one of those, "I'm requiring Gjallerhorn now," guys, just stop.
Lemme make this real simple: Bungie nerfs the Gjallerhorn because Raid groups were too stubborn about who can and can't join their games, basically who has Gjallerhorn and who doesn't.
The scummy part of this community goes, "Durr hurr, I'm gonna require Gjallerhorn even more now to teach Bungie a lesson!"
Bungie says, "It looks like Gjallerhorn is [i]still[/i] the go-to weapon for Raid groups, so we're gonna nerf it some more."

2 RepliesPersonally I think they're nerfing it because they are adding intricate battles and boss encounters with Taken King that will require strategy and meta, and a nuke like Gjallarhorn would disrupt that entirely

1 ReplyWhile I understand your argument and view point, I feel it's going to make it worse. I just got my Gally July 4th, so I've done a ton of raids without it. Those groups wanted a Gally but we're OK with some not having it because of the damage it did. So usually if 3-4 people had it, they were cool. Now with reduced damage, those same groups might ask for 5-6 mandatory Gallys to make up for the lost damage. So it might get more segregated. Not to mention all these guys who are going to do it out if principal now.

Listen I agree with you. Ghorn is not neede like it is advertised. However if you have a team of 4-5 and only need 1-2 more, knowing there are randoms and may cause the team to wipe, it is a little safer knowing they might be able to hold there own. It's the same reason that everyone only took random warlocks back in the day that vog was the only raid. The thought that well if they suck at least they can self res and try again. It's a pure safety net. But I do agree if people keep demanding it (which I think they will even more now) bungie will just keep nerfing instead of makin new gun or buffing current one to rival the ghorn. All in all its a bad situation.

I don't understand the stupidity of some destiny players. If someone wants to require a GHorn in THEIR raid group, isn't that their prerogative? Is it really that hard to grasp the concept that if you don't have ghorn, than you can't play with THEM. It doesn't stop anyone from finding other teams to play with. These players act like they'll never ever get in to a team again because one douche said GHorn required.

I agree with you completely gjally is getting nerfed not because it's O.P. I mean it is the hardest exotic to get in my opinion so of course it's O.P. no it's getting nerfed because people couldn't even wipe their ass without it congrats people you just screwed everyone's favorite rocket

That would have fixed all the problems. But they went to far in these notes. it's time to go back to bf4 after getting flawless raider and scholas kill since the 3 times I killed him did not count due to various bad luck on the objective. Battlefront is out in November anyway, and destiny has been a major time stealer. Hopefully I can uninstall the app and find another phone distraction board then. So while this may have been a drummed up publicity stunt, it cost them 10 preorders from my destiny crew.

I understand your point of view. I need to point out Bungie is approaching this the wrong way and just creating more backlash. They created this situation to begin with and it has more to do with trying to get things done in the least amount of time. If people were allowed to connect with strangers IN THE GAME it would be easier for people to get into groups. If it was IN THE GAME Bungie could take action against people who kick for crappy reasons, or the douchebags. But it is not.

Exactly how I feel man. I hope these shitheads see their Gally nerfed so hard it's unusable. I have 2 and still want it nerfed into the ground to spite some of the pricks on these forums.

13 RepliesI wanna know who actually needs 6 ghorn to beat a boss in the raid. Atheon is easy enough with a sniper or even machine gun. Crota will drop as long as every one has a tracking rocket launcher and skolas has been beat solo so why do you need a full team of ghorn? I'll give you the simple answer your not as good as you think you are at the game you need an op weapon to do all the hard work. Before you start with saying I don't have one you're right I don't I've had 4 and kept 3 but I don't act like the elitist prick that some of you guy do just because the game have you a ghorn drop which is random and has nothing to do with how good you are. Get over yourself and realise that there is more to this game than one rocket launcher

End game content has and will be continue to be easy without ghorn. I've had it since week 2. And never really used it. Or cares for it. Now I'm for sure going to boot if you dont have it. Btw i never did this prior to nerf announcement
