Lost gear from deleted characters

I lost my helm of saint 14 deleting one of my low lvl characters, little did I know that I had placed the helm on him for storage. Any way to get my gear back?

Unfortunately Bungie doesn't restore deleted characters or items. You'll just have to get another one.
