Match makIng would lead players to experience crappy end game activities. Thus making them unlikely returning to raid activities. Forcing you to actively search out a group forces at least some buy in and makes for a far better experience.

  • When you go out and search for a group you are essentially doing the matchmaking for yourself, other than asking for specific weapons and lvls what makes it different from matchmaking in any other activity in this game?

  • Yes. That forces a level of buy in. I have played nearly every day since launch and I have was never once in a group that excluded anyone for anything besides level. I agree Destiny needs some form of it. But not match makIng like it used in PvP or strike. There needs to be buy in.
