All these nerfs were not needed for PVE players

Idiots.

  • the way I see it. I like most of what was done. I didn't care about the exotic hand cannons (I use thorn, but I triple tap anyway so I could care less.), but I don't feel like all hand cannons needed to be kicked in the nuts for pve. Auto rifle buff! Who can't get behind that? And necrochasm might half be worth the BS to get it so that's exciting that maybe it will be useful outside of arc burn. Icebreaker: why is this nerf a thing? The only purpose it serves is to slow down the game. If you're using icebreaker like this then the game is slow enough already. Icebreaker was already a niche weapon that is only really used in a few situations. This "tension" that they want to build doesn't exist, and isn't going to. Black hammer: this one grinds my gears the most. The whole magic of black hammer was being rewarded with ammo over quick precision shots. No one cares about not having to reload. This weapon isn't about the speed. Black hammer has the tension they talk about with icebreaker: land two precision shots and grind your teeth praying the enemy doesn't jump out of your way on the 3rd. I won't have this moment anymore, because I'm chewing through ammo anyway so who cares. Sure it's still OK, but not nearly as worth it. A change I would have been fine with is leaving the perk alone, and dropping the amount of ammo you carry. That would have added to the tension, and kept it a great weapon IF you were good with it. Jelly: the nerf is stupid. either you nerf it into oblivion so no one wants it (because it won't be worth the exotic slot), or it maintains an edge anyway, and the elitists will still require people to have it. There is no way to make it an "inclusive" weapon. That is about the caliber of the community, and not the caliber of the weapon. It should just get sold again to give more people access if you don't want it to factor in to excluding people. I did notice dragons breath didn't get revamped to compete in the heavy exotic division. That might have been another smart alternative. My issue with things is simple. Legendaries: should be good staple weapons Raid/ IB/ Trials legendaries: should be better. You have to work harder for them, and they should outclass regular legendaries if only slightly. (Not just because of burns). Exotics: should be the best of the best at something with no exception. You can only equip 1. It should be a struggle. You shouldn't look at an exotic next to a legendary and it be a tough choice. If it is then the exotic is garbage, and it shouldn't be one or there is no point in heaving weapon tiers. Exotics should only have to compete against other exotics for superiority. Gally: unrivaled in crushing an enemy. Thunderlord: unrivaled in potential number of kills/ spread or mass crowd control. Truth: many player's go to PvP heavy They all have specific purpose and should be the best bar none for the intended purpose.
