A Legendary Sniper rifle should not out perform an Exotic one and since Icebreaker got a severe Nerf.... In all seriousness, certain year 1 weapons are so powerful that Bungie doesn't know how to top them without building new weapons that will completely break the game. Bungie have also expressed frustration that a lot of players would rather stick with these OP weapons than use new ones. This patch is about breaking everyone's favourite toys so that The Taken King's 'new' loot looks more attractive.
