This is just not true. Sure gally still does the most, but now it won't 100% outclass every other exotic in our inventories. Using something with tripod like dragons breath or truth will become acceptable because they won't be doing half the damage that gally does.
Plus now it won't be so necessary to use your exotic slot on a heavy weapon. Maybe people will realize finally that a gally is [b]not[/b] the best weapon to use in crota, but red death is (to combat Crotas presence modifier)
TL;DR:
It used to be that players without gallys did [b]far less[/b] damage than those with gallys. Now that gap won't be so big, so gally won't be such a firm requirement.

You make a good point and yes I did know of the red death perk. Did you know titans could recharge their life in the presence of crota? Anyway I played crota yesterday and I was the only one shooting him with my gally on HM. I had weapons of light so I didn't mind. Other guys had machine guns. Just myself and sb had gallys. We didn't make it an exclusive club. Now thanks to all those who wanted it nerfed it will be an exclusive club.

Nice video. Interesting cause I just tried it on a nightfall and the difference was clear. It does affect the ghorn. You can try it. Don't rely entirely on the video. Try it for yourself. You don't even have to have illuminated on.

Gally will still do more so it won't change anything game communities always regulate towards what is fast and efficient I have played many raid games it's always like this among the top players they go towards what gets them the most done the fastest. Would have been better to boost the other exotic launchers instead

How would boosting other rockets be any different. Gally would still be the best, which according to your logic, means that's all people will want. People want gally because it completely changes the entire game. Gally currently does more damage than truth on void burn. That's insane. That's the sign of a broken weapon. When one weapon [b]completely[/b] outclasses every other weapon, that's a problem. Now gally will still be the best, but not by a mile. And now other rocket launchers may perform better in situations that aren't all about DPS. Sure there will still be the unskilled morons who say they need gallys on their team, but those people will phase out once the new generation of players comes in.

I agree, but most people seem to have missed the point. "the most powerful weapon has been nerfed, so now we need more of them!" Yeah, or just use something else perhaps?
