Yes it still does the most damage but that doesn't mean everything else doesn't work.
God this community is retarded when the only solution everyone has is what does the most damage so we can get it over quickly.
People have beaten skolas with 0 ghorn a, no matter what it's damage output, it's not needed to win a fight unless you suck.

You're missing the point. It's not that people cannot win without it, it's the fact that bosses are drawn out battles and the ghorn and BH made them faster. If I could take a 1 hour boss fight and cut it down to 30 minutes I would absolutely do so.
-
But by doing that you are not playing as intended. Bungie designs a boss fight and sees people black hammer a tank in 30 seconds or gally a boss in a minute. They want you to put effort into the fights. All you people looking for an "easy" way out are the people who suck at this game. They want you to take time and play a fight properly, not snipe or rocket through it quickly. I am glad fights will be fights again.
-
Ya I agree the first time u fight them hell maybe even the 5th but the only reason to grind bosses is loot. People want it done as fast as possible it's not like this game is content heavy. Its grinding the same stuff over and over no-one wants to wait a HR for loot everytime
-
"Not playing as intended" and yet they keep going on about become legend and play the way you want. And 90% want the easy way they don't want to be grinding for hours.

This ^ We will now be required to survive in the boss environment for longer rather than just burning them to the ground in seconds. Having to survive mechanics and ads is a big part of how these fights are designed, so when we burn to the ground in seconds we're skipping the hardest part of the entire fight. Ex: nuking Skolas when the second set of mines start to avoid dismantling the mines with ads around. That'll become more difficult to shit like that, which is good.
-
Then they need better mechanics instead of adds. Dodging adds and focusing on timing just makes things longer find better more interesting ways to make the game challenging. However that will probably exclude even more players....
-
Good I hope the players that can't hang with a challenge get excluded. They're where all he problems come from.
-
That just means less money for bungie though the trend in gaming accessibility over challenge especially in anything MMO like a minority don't like it but that's the industry today
-
Increasing grind is not a good way to go about changing the game. Example: Warframe (if you have played it)

I've beaten Skolas without Gjallarhorn... Most people in this community cant game properly or want to finish it asap, so thats why it's Gjally only.
