SMH.. Nerfing Gally Because People Feel Left Out?

Ok I know we will get equal parts for and against any nerf or buff Bungie throws at us and honestly most of what they do makes sense to me. Honestly, Nerfing Auto rifles the first time around I grumbled but I got it because I was doing exactly what they were seeing and thus get why they nerfed it.. Though, happy to see they are bringing AR's back a bit. Nerfing Thorn.. I also get. And mind you, I am one of "Those" guys when I hit cruicible. So while I will also grumble and adjust I get it and it gives me a reason to run my red death or now Hard Light. Sadly, Nerfing Ice Breaker a bit on the recharge.. I also get that. Though I am torn as that gun literally allows me to solo some NF's when my normal group is tied up or there isn't room. This week is a perfect example of needing the Ice Breaker. But I guess if the goal is to get us moving around a bit more.. sure. But honestly, I think you could have left this one alone. NOW. Nerfing the Gjallarhorn's wolf pack rounds I don't get. Yes, this gun is crazy powerful but as some have already mentioned.. Isn't that the point. There are TONS of freak out videos all over youtube where people are stoked when they finally see that thing pop on their screen. This for a lot of us is our golden goose and our end game content. I think many have mentioned that a large portion of people play the raids and even the NF's still to hopefully see that beaut of a rocket launcher come across their inventory. And while the "Nerf" probably won't stop the want or desire to obtain it, it sure takes some of the shine away from the trophy. It, in my opinion would be great to actually say that you guys had at least 1 gun from day one you didn't have to OR want to touch. So to Nerf the most sought after gun in the game simply because LFG pages specify they require a Gjallarhorn is silly. I see those posts from time to time when I need to find a group and you know what. I still write the poster, 95% of the time I still get an invite into their group and I tell them (Before I had a Gjallarhorn) I only have a maxed out Hunger of Crota and you know what? They still let me roll with them. The Destiny Community is largely made up of very vocal whiners (and yes this post can be counted as one, though hopefully more of a "WTF this doesn't make sense" post), and the sad thing is you pander to them too much Bungie. While for the most part your changes really make sense while they suck at times, nerfing a gun because people are "requiring" said gun is silly. The Gjallarhorn is still very rare and most of those "Must have Gjallarhorn" threads will take anyone because at the end of the day they just want to play that specific Raid or POE. I guess this nerf would never happen if the posters stated "We prefer you have Gjallarhorn" instead of "You Must have.."? Thank you to those that suffer through this post. If you like what I have to say feel free to bump this thing and make it trending. If you hate it and want to go into a Rage.. Please do so as well, it's Friday and I am looking for something to read to help pass the time.

  • Bungie nerfed the gally, so players that don't have it will not be excluded from games. So now that the game is harder and the guns are not as powerful, people will start to only accept other people into teams with a high grimoire score. I mean if someone has over 3200, then they probably have all exotics and lots of upgraded top tier legendaries. This will make raids, nightfalls and POE easier to complete. Someone with under 2500 grim won't have as many weapons and armour pieces, so will often get booted over someone that does. Most games That I play with low grim players on the forums often do bad. So now people will set a minimum grimoire score that people need to have in order to join. Just like people require others to have the flawless emblem in order to join a TOO team I know that some high grim players are bad and some low grim players are good, but GENERALLY this is not the case. So in future instead of asking for a "level 34 max Gally or icebreaker", it will now be "need a level 34 with grim over 3200" With that score you know he has most of what the game has to offer which will make your raid a lot easier.
