exactly what I've been saying since I read the patch notes
absolutely horrible
what they are trying to do is great, but NERFING never works

Nerfing is the worst option always ales things worse till someone figures out the new optimal how a pitch evaluating encounters and buffing other weapons and play styles to make everything more relevant
