Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.
JOB WELL DONE BUNGIE! Or am I missing something?
@Deej or @Cozmo : you're reading this? Elitism will prevail unfortunately. Go report that back to your game designers ;-)
Let me make it easy for you, lets say we need 225k damage to kill a boss. Gjally does 9k while other rockets do 6k. Everyone has 5 rockets, so a gjally user would do 45k damage, while a non gjally user will do 30k damage. Right now we need 3 gjally users and 3 different rockets to kill him. Now if we make ghorn do 40k per 5 shots, we'll need 4 gjally users and 2 regular rocket launchers and some extra shots from primary to kill it. Most people would go for the easy way where they don't need to shoot extra shots with primaries, that would mean people would require 5 gjallys to do what could've been done with 3 gjallys in the past.[
Important note: the patch hasn't come out yet, we're discussing different outcomes. Who knows what will happen next.

-blam!- u

Happy with nerf....maybe I'll use a different gold for once!
-
Orrr the dofference between gally and other high end launchers becomes negligible?
-
Know what would have stopped the lfg elitism faster? In game match making.
-
Yeaaaaaaah no
-
-
Worst logic ever. Nerfing gally makes other weapons more viable. Gally isn't required to defeat anything in the game. Not to mention the patch doesn't come until right before ttk so after a week or two at most you will have new legendary and exotic heavy weapons. I can't believe people buying this crap.
-
A clanemate and I were saying this exact thing early today. It will only make the problem worse. However I've always had a suspicion that there will be another RL coming in TTK that will make the Ghorn look like a Husk. IDK we'll see.
-
How are we going to defeat Isis without a maxed Gjallarhorn.

I agree and regardless gjallarhorn should remain the same
-
I like this post, because it indirectly says, Gjallarhorn has made itself a permanent weapon legend. Nerfing it will just set everything into chaos. You don't just make master chief some random spartan in a fight. nothing about that makes sense, and niether does this.
-
Enjoy.
-
Yeah it's really dumb cause it's gonna cause more dps on bosses. Regardless of how much Gjallarhorn gets nerf.
-
Gjallahorn elitistists are the noob tubers from CoD
-
Yep they just made it worse because they don't think before they patch that's why they have to re-patch

Sooo Bungie sets out to help remedy the "must have max ghally" kiddos on LFG sites, only to do the exact opposite. How's that you might ask? Well, let me put it this way. You are thirsty. You want a glass of water. Deej comes over, Cozmo following while holding his inside-out pocket, and sets a glass of water in front of you, filled to the brim. The only way to relieve your thirst is to have a full glass of water. Only, Deej realizes this and leans over the glass, tips it just enough so that 10% spills out. He then motions for you to take the water. You do, drinking it completely. Now, you've finished the glass, sure, but you're still thirsty. You still need that other 10%. You then step away from Deej and his sidekick to go look for that remaining 10%. You stumble upon a second area where you find another player, just as thirsty as you, getting the same treatment from Luke Smith. You ask if that player would like to join your fireteam, as to take a sip of his water to make up for your lost 10%. He agrees and you both walk away, leaving Luke Smith throwing money at a TV screen with nothing but static on it and "golf clapping" to himself, only to do it over and over again. Sometimes backwards.

Yep. No gally no invite because -blam!- you bungie.
-
I completely agree with skyguy. How would they have not seen that coming? Reminds me of how they didn't put checkpoints in Poe so people couldn't just give away the final boss, but didn't foresee people outright stealing skolas (asking for leader then booting the original inviter to invite their own friends)
-
No longer accepting non ghorn users in raids or PoE.
-
Bump! Leave the F$&king weapons alone already!!
-
Let me guess The developers of The Taken King play tested the new Raid with a fireteam of Gjallarhorns and the Raid was completed in 20 minutes?
-
-
Lol good point

Or maybe dragons breath will shine with this new dlc?
