Nerfing Gjallarhorn will lead to extreme elitism
Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.

@Deej or @Cozmo : you're reading this? Elitism will prevail unfortunately. Go report that back to your game designers ;-)

1 ReplyHere is the issue. Nerfing wolf pack rounds, even by 75% still makes gjallarhorn the most powerful rocket launcher in the game. So I do believe you are correct, elitism may end up worse than it already is. Unless they nerf it into obscurity. Like what they did to auto rifles and fusion rifles.... So I really wouldn't put it past bungie to actually do that.

Bungie needs to buff weapons. Not Nerf them. Like add burning DOT to Dragons breath. That would make it a great Rocket launcher for anyone running a solar class.

There's a 10% chance of the intended effect actually happening. Plus, to those who actually believe the LFG was the "main" reason for the nerf are merely true believers. Bungie needs end game content to take longer and boss fights/raids/PoE to take longer. By nerfing Ghorn, they string out the lack luster content for players breezing through it. Even tho it is COMPLETELY counter productive, why did they nerf IB? because it was an easy way to stream through content or take the easy route through. The whole LFG issue (tho viable) is a headline to throw it under to appeal to the community. LFG posters have required this since October. Why call it the worst issue ever 9 months later when the raids are stale?? If they truly had an issue with LFG excluding players from raids, they would have mentioned it or done something when the raids were new, difficult to complete, and arguably "current" for the majority of players.

2 RepliesBungie once again adding more artificial obstacles to make the game seem bigger. They're nerfing the Gally because players breezed by every encounter they put up if they had enough. In other words, every encounter they set up is just a massive stationary bullet sponge (the reason why Gally is so good). It will be no different in TTK. That's why they nerfed Hammer and Gally, so we wouldn't beat the new stationary bullet sponges with different reskins in 30 minutes but in 1 hour instead. These guys have run out of ideas, if they knew what they were doing they would set up a boss encounter that didn't rely on having a ton of HP to make it difficult. The reason Gally is so popular is because it does the most burst DPS in the game and every end-game boss is simply a stationary enemy with 100x HP. So Gally them. What's the point of using any other weapon? There's none. No one is gonna use a Necrochasm to down Rockets Face because it takes a billion bullets to do so. In the meantime, a few rockets and he's already at half HP. Bungie needs to get this through their head: design levels where end bosses are not simply shoot them in the face and it will go down eventually. Because this is why Gally is king. But of course they take the easy way out and just nerf what is a very nice weapon.

They want to blame the community for overusing the gun they designed to be stupid op?....really Just tell the truth....they are nerfing, because it's the lazyest way they can make ttk doable by all players, and also so some won't be able to blast through the new bosses in seconds.

Does anyone really care that hunger of crota or any other rocket launcher was no where near close to being as preferred as the Gjally. Personally could have cared less Nerffed Gjally because of popularity is wrong

17 RepliesAnytime I'm looking on LFG and someone says "must have gally" I just don't join them, because they're obviously lazy and stupid. If you need a gjallarhorn to do anything in this game then I don't want to play with you, and yall shouldn't want to play with them either. There are plenty of others posts on lfg, go join them.
