Nerfing Gjallarhorn will lead to extreme elitism
Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.

@Deej or @Cozmo : you're reading this? Elitism will prevail unfortunately. Go report that back to your game designers ;-)

The Gjallarhorn nerf is going to backfire horribly. The people who feel they [i]need[/i] Gjallys to get through endgame activities will now be even more stingy with allowing those in that don't have one. No longer can one person with Gjally cover the damage output of another without it, and thus it will become a requirement for everyone in the fireteam. The nerf that they thought would diminish its exclusivity is actually going to promote [i]more[/i] elitism.

5 RepliesThis actually makes a lot of sense. You could burn bosses pretty quickly with the help of 2 or 3 gjallys, but now the whole fireteam is going to need to carry their weight, aka need gjally.

I was happy when my friends with Gally took me through 34 Poe. I didn't have a problem. You just needed to ignore the scumbags who required Gally to join a raid group.

3 RepliesAgreed. Ghorn will still out DPS everything else, and the ONLY rocket even close is Hunger of Crota because of cluster bomb DPS but that's nowhere near as focused as Wolfpack, so Ghorn will still be less god-tier, but still a deity compared to anything else.

This has happened due to all the elitist LFG posts demanding that you have a gjallarhorn which has alienated the community that does not have a gjally or has one and refuses to join the group. For me this is a close to a cheese or easy option and often doesn't show any skill what so ever. The nerf will bring the other launchers closer to the damage output of the gjallarhorn and in effect should negate the need... For those that are saying it will make the demand worse than it is already and your going to demand it more then I say you need to git gud and stop relying on it as a crutch. Takes the fun out of the game anyway. Serves you all right to be honest...
