Nerfing Gjallarhorn will lead to extreme elitism
Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.

@Deej or @Cozmo : you're reading this? Elitism will prevail unfortunately. Go report that back to your game designers ;-)

I don't agree with the damage logic. Thunderlord, or any LMG with that ammo capacity and archetype does more DoT than the Gjallarhorn. Rockets are just convenient for burst damage.

You realise they didn't mention how much they are gonna nerf it by? Idiot posts like this will encourage them to make a substantial nerf such that even if everyone in your fireteam has a gally you won't be burning down shit. I'm gonna laugh my head off when they make it damn near useless.

2 RepliesThis is clearly assumption. We don't even know the base damage decrease for wolfpack rounds yet. There will always be individuals supporting some form of elitism in everything. I wouldn't get to worked up about it. Find those you can run with for most things in the game and be happy. Let's not stress over things that have yet to happen.

I've also seen people on here claiming they'll deliberately not accept ANYONE without a Gjallarhorn from now on purely on the principle that Bungie nerfed the Gjallarhorn because a few teams didn't accept people without one. I don't necessarily agree with the above ideology, but there are teams/clans like mine where Gjallarhorn-users did all they could to help people without it to get raids done, and now we're being penalized. I can't complain yet though, the nerf might be minimal. It only said wolfpack will deal reduced damage, this could go from 260 -> 230 per wolfpack so barely noticeable (Numbers for wolfpack may be inaccurate, was used for an example)
