I do think the blackhammer nerf was a bit on the harsh side here is why I don't think it matters. Given how much they're changing for ttk and how mmo type games typically deal with expansions, my money is on not being able to ascend non-exotics to year two strength. If this is the case blackhammer will be obsolete anyway. If they do allow further ascending then they may bring back the nerf a little. Ttk is still a long way away.
