I have a friend that wants to play Destiny, but I'm having a problem helping him choose which version to buy. He's not sure if he's even going to like it, so he's not really interested in The Taken King Collector's Edition. I'm confused about what comes with Destiny: The Standard Edition. He's going hard copy.
I'm also in the market for Destiny, but I'm confused about what version will give me ALL of the goodies when Taken King arrives. Please help me, because web designers (even the commercial ones, esp. Sony) no longer seem to understand how to design simple interfaces with information readily available.

The standard edition of Destiny, comes with only the base game, as launched on September 9th, without the Dark Below or House of Wolves content. The different versions of the Taken King, can be seen here: https://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy The collector's editions come with everything the other editions have.

Hello, If you are new to Destiny, I recommend the Legendary Edition of The Taken King. It comes with Destiny, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King. Destiny: Standard Edition just comes with Destiny the Game, and to play The Taken King, you must own both expansions. The Legendary Edition costs $60 USD. Also, information can be found here: https://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy
