Signed. The only good thing they are doing is buffing auto rifles, NLB, Necrochasm, and hard light and nerfing thorn and fixing TLW glitch. Everything else is unneeded and just -blam!-ing stupid. The shotgun and the final round nerf is stupid and just added to appease whiny ass people who don't know how to play PVP properly.

Edited by a potato: 7/17/2015 4:03:21 AMThey're significantly nerfing hand cannons. Given how difficult it is to land headshots at their intended range as opposed to the distance they're used now, I fully expect them to swap places with AR's again when the patch goes live. Given the limited options in a shooter I welcome this change to the meta freshening up the crucible, but feel bad for people who fantasize about vash the stampede.

If you look at it from a changing meta standpoint to keep things fresh, you make a good point. And I am happy my Up For Anything will find its way back in my rotation again. I just don't want anybody to pretend this does anything to balance out weapon selection. If they wanted balance, they could have buffed AR and kept HC as is. That would have achieved more balance. But, I'll roll with it like I've done in the past. And when the inevitable AR nerf/scout rifle buff comes down in another 6 months, I'll roll with that too.

Yeah, this is the problem with this update. Bungie (and most players) are sheep who are talking about how this is the solution to balance things, but all they've done is make HC irrelevant and AR dominant. There has been zero balancing, just a swapping of power. You can make an argument that HC are cheap, but you at least had to aim. AR reward players with no skill for holding down a trigger. So not only does this simply exchange one king for the next, it makes it easier than current to be rewarded for having less skill.

Edited by a potato: 7/17/2015 4:15:13 AMI've only met one person in crucible in the last 6 months who could use a hand cannon as bungie intended. It was amazing to behold... I'd juke and dodge at fusion rifle range and be plugged in the head 3 shots. 99.9% of people miss 2/3 of the time with HC's, but this one guy landed all 3 headshots on me while sliding and weaving right in his face.

"99.9% of HC users miss 2/3 of their shots..." That's exactly my point. Even in its perfect range MOST players aren't nearly as good with it as others claim them to be. But ARs... Just be in range and pull the trigger and aiming is simply a happy byproduct.
