This is futile and useless. There is no point telling you my data for you have your own truth. This was nice while it lasted, but like all things, it comes to an end. Have a great day. Thanks for the exchange...

Bit like cancelling your pre-order over a weapons update which you've never played. Futile indeed.
-
The 3 preorders were cancelled for, of the 85 friends my clan had online, only 6 were left playing Destiny. 3 of them were in my house and 2 were 'never playing again'. I see no point in buying a game all of my friends had abandoned and I was the only one refusing to admit it was dead to us! The nerf was expected. I was relying on anything except for a real game repair to convince me that Bungie focuses on forum complaining instead of real game problems. Players complain about a weapon platform, the entire autorifle category is nerf'd! Why? Because a few cannot play a video game! The rest of us who try to improve our skills, lose a great group of guns! That is balance? No, that is bull shit! That is not what I bought when I bought into this endeavor long they. I am really happy all I spent was a few thousand hours, money and made great friends online. I love this game with all my heart, but, it is no longer the game I bought! I have no idea where it is going, but I know it will not be going onto my console in the future. What you have read is called disappointment! I do not give any care about weapons. I see the game being slowly changed into COD in space. That is not what I bought.
-
I think you miss the point about why they balance stuff out man. It has very little to do with consumer feedback and everything to do with usage stats. I could go on at great length to explain this to you but I think it will be a waste of time. Educate yourself. Read up on bungie's design pillars.
-
I know the reason they and everyone balanced weapons. I do not care about balancing when there are playability issues remaining unresolved. That is why I have lost confidence in them and this game. That need to fix the playability issues first. Weapon balancing is always ongoing. Balancing last years weapons after announcing those weapons cap at 365, and not fixing the playability issues are the reasons I made my statement. I care less about weapon balance. I care about being able to reliably play.
-
But it sounds like your playable issues are in a minority? Ever considered that.
-
You make a valid point. However, if you had my network, knew what I do in real life, and experienced my playability problems, you would never tolerate it. All I can say is that the problem is not on my end, I am not alone, and the weapon fix insults those like me who cannot reliably play despite a lot of $$ invested in squiring the best internet available today.
-
So how long have you had these connection issues?
-
I do not have connection issues. What I experience is being booted to the start screen or orbit right before the final boss is killed ~20% since the last update. My internet is better than 95% of that available for reasons I cannot disclose. I have 1:1 trillion lost packets max recorded, latency <0.0005ms and quadruple redundancy! All traffic is monitored and controlled, recorded. My network is not the problem, sorry! It is from this position, which I am disenchanted. They needed to fix playability issues, reported on this forum daily, instead of pouring resources into balancing. A lot of players, this forums reports, have problems with game play. That needed addressing, not gun stats. Who cares if your guns are balanced, when you are being booted, lagged or error coded out to orbit daily. That is why I am distressed with this balancing. It ignored real player problems...
-
It ignored a minority of users with recurring connection issues. Probably those with non-standard connections. Such as yourself. Maybe? If you're getting booted then somewhere along the line it's a disconnection issue somewhere.
-
Funny. I could laugh, but you really do not know what you are attempting to talk about. Just stick to Destiny and leave networking to the experts I employ. Thanks...
-
Dude I know far more than you think. I was setting up networks back in the dial up days. I just wanted to see how long I could keep you replying. You sound like a condescending knob. I'm glad destiny doesn't work for you x amount of time. Maybe you should get your "experts" on it.
-
Never fails for any interesting exchange of ideas on this forum to turn derogatory. When you were setting up networks in the days of dial-up, my company had developed the products you were using! That is who you were attempting to condescend! Have a great day...

Sorry man it was 4am and I was in one hellva argumentative mood. Respect to you sir for all that you have achieved. Did you work for Intel then?
-
For a time on 8088/8086
-
Wow, fairplay 8088 was the first desktop outside of commodore c-16s i ever used as a kid. The days of good old cga and msdos. I can see why you're so pissed with the reliability issues now.
-
I left that and went into MSFT, then decided repairing people was more rewarding. Have been doing that for 25 years now. Still work for AAPL on the side, hence the network requirements. Have to have variety in life. I cannot make mistakes, people die. I hold professionals to similar standards when they have the public trust. Bungie are professional and should hold themselves to a standard which guarantees excellence.
-
Variety is def needed in life. So are you a doc or a psych? Apologies to you man i have been disrespectful. Anyone who dedicates there life to helping deserves respect.

Trauma Surgeon...
-
Much respect to you sir. Doubly so in fact.
-
At least my perspective on weapon damage is actually real. On a lighter note, your job is no piece of cake either...
-
Bloody hell I bet! I appreciate your humility but my job has changed these days. I went to uni for a bit to study psychology, got bored and now I work in a clothes shop. My job is easy! I'm treading water until I figure out my own path to help others. Although I do enjoy providing customer service, especially with old folk, I try and make a difference each day but it's not on a saving lives basis. So...destiny hey! Did you see the xur fail today, pretty sure the ghally was going to be for sale. Sucks to be bungie right now!
-
They are really stumbling when their path should be clear. 7 years of development should have included some planning. As someone who must plan for all contingencies, I have difficulty with that many minds being inconsistent. Version 2.01 nerf will soon follow. Who knows what that will bring? I am sure they don't...
