Can someone seriously justify the Black Hammer nerf?
I really don't see why this is getting nerfed at all. Who can convince me? It makes no sense...

Yeah, its only gun capable of shooting the same target over and over without losing ammo or having to reload (the only thing that comes close is IB, and thats an exotic). Aka broken. Broken things need fixing.

It should not have infinite ammo, it's a legendary. It's going to be obsolete after taken king. It's 1 gun in a game with hundreds.

5 RepliesWell look at it from a developers standpoint. Developer: hmmm I want my end game bosses to be a challenge i mean my fans have paid for good content not content that can be beaten so easily. Lets see if there is anything I can do to make then worthy of the name "boss". Based on the stats everybody seems to be abusing two weapons to defeat my boss'. I want people to use variety and strategy to defeat them not abuse these power weapons. Implements nerf That's how a developer should be thinking so yes in my opinion Black Hammer can be justified to have a nerf. It's no secret it and Gally were abused by so many to defeat most of the boss'. Same goes for the two exotic hand cannons. A developer should be looking for verity in their game not leaving weapons that have obvious advantages over others. That's why arena MP does so well.

3 RepliesI understand why black hammer got nerfed. It sucks but I do, it's on the same level as Ghorn on he right hands. It also outclassed ice breaker. But in justification WHY increase the timer for bullet regen on Icebreaker. I'll still go black hammer over icebreaker any day.

I'm pretty okay with it,, you can still do great dps,, but you also have to actually move around a bit to look for ammo when you're out.. Beats just standing still and shooting at something untill it's dead..

1 ReplyThe Black Hammer should've been an exotic IMO. It has some of the best stats in the sniper class and it essentially has infinite ammo (making it pretty much a better Ice Breaker.) Plus, at least an exotic BH would've been better than the pea shooting Necro.

Black Hammer has an extremely OP perk. At least for a legendary. Also nerfing Black Hammer will allow new snipers become viable in the TTK.

Now I think it's better to don't except good decisions from they ... So we will not be disappointed. I think the taken king by will be the same kind of shit they did with the 2 DLC. Lol i just think the mega nerf serves all the moaners right! ..... Thorn will still be insane and all the PvE god guns get nerfed! People moan because they don't have these guns. They will drop them after and never know how good they really were once.

Bungie wants us to spend even more time to shoot their bullet sponges in the middle of the map they call bosses.

It's now the equivalent having a speed reload perk. What the hell is the point of that. White Nail as it currently stands is perfect and the only reason the sniper is any good. Remove that functionality and it won't get used. So thanks Bungie for rendering another weapon totally useless.

2 RepliesBecause for bosses its just as bad as gjallarhorn if not worse, it does as much dmg and fires infinatley if you can land 100% headshots with it. I do however think they went about the nerf all wrong, they should have nerfed total ammo rather than increase so that muligan becomes more relivant and the gun more punishing for missing.
