I really don't see why this is getting nerfed at all. Who can convince me? It makes no sense...
-
I think they should keep the gun how it is and just make the gun an exotic
-
They discovered that one gun from the Crota raid was actually useful.
-
The perk wasn't working as originally intended. Bottomless clip with infinite ammo that plus a Ghorn PVE is broken in an instant.
-
They are nerfing it so the new stuff isn't overshadowed by old stuff so ppl will grind and grind and grind. Just not right
-
The current version of the white nail perk is pretty much an exotic perk. You have a gun that stun locks bosses and gives you infinite ammo to do so. By making the bullets come from the reserve it makes the weapon feel like more of a legendary sniper and not the exotic in disguise that it was. It's actually going to have the effect that bungie originally had in mind. But hey that's just my opinion
-
I feel like it's already ruined enough. There are times i get 3 critical hits and don't get to continue shooting without reloading
-
You can stun lock bosses
-
All the best guns in Destiny are being or will be nerfed so that you will want to spend $40 (or $63 in the UK) on The Taken King which will have more powerful weapons now that yours are shït..
-
Black Hammer needed to be nerfed, Icebreaker however didn't.
-
Currently the perk is exotic tier; however, the nerf is too much. Honestly, I think a fair nerf would be to when white nail successfully activates, it takes one bullet from reserve to fill the mag. This way you can't keep shooting forever, but the perk isn't useless
-
If the bosses weren't so goddämn boring and bulletspongey the nerf wouldn't even matter...
-
The perk is doing exactly what it is supposed to do now. "Landing 3 precision shots refills the guns magazine"
-
Some flawed logic at Bungie to get people to use the new ubercrap guns they will introduce in TTK.
-
Bungie can justify it quite well. Make it suck so you grind for something better.
-
Bc bungie decides how you play the game. You don't get to become your own legend, you become their legend.
-
Blackhammer rewards skilled players. Scrubs probably just complained about how it should be nerfed because it's overpowered but they probably suck with it.
-
Taking down bosses was too easy
-
Edited by Titan: 8/1/2015 4:14:21 PMIn Borderlands 2 you can have infinite ammo and it's not a problem that breaks the game. Bungie can't balance or manage it because they use ammo as a limited currency. Major design fail, add it to the list.
-
Honestly, I think that so many people have hundreds of Special Ammo Synths stocked up from the Ether Chest sparrow races the opening weekend that they feel this will help drive down the supply and force green ammo to be used. Also, it forces players to choose between more sniper shots and more rockets since the cooldown affects both types of synth in endgame content.
-
Simple. TTK is coming out. If they don't nerd the weapons out now then just like fatebringer and many other weapons then those would b the only weapons used. The dark below came out. Most people still used fatebringer. Was heavily compared to woc. And it won. How comes out and it still reigned supreme in the hand Cannon category. Crucible wise the only thing new people r using is the shot guns and the abundance of rocket launchers that can get grenades and horseshoes. But that's only because of the introduction of re rolling everything. But truth still is the best. Basically they realized that everyone is still using all the vanilla weapons those r amongst the best in class and they r coming up with a shit ton of new weapons and instead of giving perks and weapon stats that r better then the og they will just make the og weaker for a moment of time. I'm sure they will re introduce the ascension of items again. Otherwise what am I going to do with all my etheric light?
-
Sure. It's overpowered. I get that it's a raid weapon, but people use it more than exotics. People used to sit behind a rock and continually headshot a boss until they are dead. That's not supposed to happen.
-
I can't see how it matters, it's only really useful for tanks. And your still going to be able to string 20+ shots together and there's always ads about to kill and pick up more ammo. I really don't see why people are so upset about it.
-
It is only OP against a stationary boss. Bungie should stop being lazy and fix their crap designs for stationary bullet sponge bosses and leave raid weapons alone.
-
Consider this its not getting Nerfed until ttk day one of ttk all legendary items become obsolete so your complaint is kinda mute and pointless
-
I'll tell you why, Bungie doesn't know how to make a strike boss include good mechanics such as jumping on walls and being a hard target to get precision damage on. Instead they give us Bullet Sponges like the Archon Priest, Sekrion, Valus, Sepiks, Taniks, Walker Tanks, etc. that take roughly 1-10 minutes to take down with the right set-up excluding Ghorn and Bhammer. Then they see how well these weapons work against their shitty designed bosses and think "well we can't change how you guys fight them so we'll just cripple the weapons you use instead and if that sound good enough we'll also make sure your good legendaries don't do jackshit in the Taken King so you can start all over and use weapons that will have really good perks like Shank Burn."

It was a cheap way to kill a boss literally all u had to do was sit there and hit a precision hit with every shot and not have to worry about ammo.
