Can someone seriously justify the Black Hammer nerf?
I really don't see why this is getting nerfed at all. Who can convince me? It makes no sense...

3 RepliesMakes sense to make it less exotic. Pop a special synth and keep firing. If something survives 34 precision shots then it deserves to live.

1 ReplyThey should've made Black Hammer an Exotic. So people can't use the Black Hammer and Gjallarhorn at the same time. Anyway. They did it because it was a pretty OP perk, and instead of nerfing the dmg of the Black Hammer, they just decided to take away some reserve ammo, and have it so the ammo doesn't come out of the ether. So it's probably still effective, but they just did a little tinkering to take it from Exotic tier to Legendary tier. Or people where 2 busy destroying Atheon, Crota or the bosses in PoE ᕦ( ͡°╭͜ʖ╮͡° )ᕤ

On that gun, you are able to have infinite ammo. INFINITE ammo....on a LEGENDARY. THAT'S why they will nerf it.

people will say it's an exotic class perk on a legendary. it isn't. it rewards you for landing 3 precision shots quickly. this is next to impossible in pvp. exotic perks proc on a regular basis and can be used in pve and pvp effectively and require less skill. also, to hell with anyone who supports the nerf to gjallarhorn, ice breaker, or black hammer. you can suck my butthole.

1 ReplyThere nerfing everything because they want everyone to buy the dlc. They screwed up with how as every pre dlc weapon amd tdb weapons were better than most weapons from how(trials not included) they want ppl to buy the dlc to obtain the new "best weapons"

9 RepliesIdk why they nerfed it I choose solar spear with field scout over it in most situations as is it's not extremely op now with that and the ghorn nerf I think the spear with field scout will be the top dps weapon possibly

7 RepliesBecause you can literally take down Strike bosses in about 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure Bungie didn't spend all that time coding boss enemies just to have them go down before they can fight back. #SaveTheStrikeBosses.

It's still so good. Idk why no one thinks let's say...at least 12 shots without reloading is such a bad thing. Still beats any sniper to date. When it comes out I doubt you will see people bitching about it because I don't think it's really gonna be all that bad.

My theory is because theyre nerfing icebreaker and blackhammer was already pretty much as good if not better than icebreaker, so if they didnt nerf blackhammer it would be completely better.

It's is a very op gun, I do agree with the neef somewhat. However, since it takes ammo for the reserve ammo, the white nail perk is almost useless. It's a good sniper, but with white nail and mulligan, it basically has no perks

8 RepliesBecause you could perma stun bosses indefinitely without breaking a sweat. Which, might I add, you'll still be able to do. You'll just have to stop every seven mags and pop a synthesis. People are really overreacting to this stuff. As is the way of the destiny community I suppose.

11 RepliesInfinite ammo (if you can land your shots) with a higher damage output than icebreaker makes it better than an exotic of similar power, therefore now players must take a break to replenish ammo, similar to icebreaker's recharge. Honestly, it's still gonna be better than IB bcuz you'll be able to pick up ammo faster and hold more in reserve.

Because it pretty much made ice breaker extinct hahah. They wabt exotics to be the go to weapon for situations. But since black hammer got nerfed they nerfed ice breaker just as bad..... who knows why. They are the only nerfs i dont understand
