can you justify why it needed to have infinite ammo possibility? so you have to pick up a brick every now and then.

They want to slow down the PVE in which we get through content. They nerfed our boss killers, Ghorn too, notice how they slowed down the regen on icebreaker, keeping it slower that what the BlackHammer might be capable of after Nerf. Reducing the damage on Ghorn's Wolfpack rounds, will also slow things down and make us play the mechanics of the game as they intended

They should have just made black hammer an exotic to begin with and keep it as it was. Now it's gona be worse than most other snipers. It just doesn't make sense to nerf this gun that hard

You would think BUNGIE knew the end result of creating the white nail perk. It's like they said to themselves "wait a minute, so landing precision shots give you unlimited ammo?!?!? What were we thinking." I won't even mention Icebreaker

It's an Exotic Tier Perk. It cannot exist on a regular Legendary while all you can get is Triple Tap on a normal Legendary.

They are releasing a new raid in a few weeks and want to curb the ability of players to bypass content by way of unlimited-ammo snipers. Simple.

It's not a "nerf" because it'll do the same damage. Just no more infinite ammo

I can tell you why. Because Sepiks Prime with Solar burn when down in under 10 secs. Walker tanks take slightly more.

The simple reasoning behind this is to make strike and raid bosses a "challenge" and not have the boss fights basically become a fireteam flinch locking them until they're defeated. To me and actual players that enjoy this game i agreee with it 100% because it makes the fights last longer and more interesting. You guys cry and whine about it as if its useless, when you can basically move a few feet from your position in the game to pick up special ammo from a dead enemy. It's honestly pretty sad how you guys can't see the reasoning behind it and need other people to tell you.

You can permanently stagger bosses if you are good with it. How is that not OP?

I still don't see the point but maybe they were doing some testing on bosses in ttk and they were easily subdued by a black hammer and put an easy pass in play. Still generally bad design if this is the case but it could be an explanation.

Yes, as much as it is awesome, it is broken; infinite ammo aside from the battery on IB is game breaking. This is why they nerfed it.

I don't like it, but I understand it. The current while nail perk is practically an exotic tier one. Toning it down to actually use ammo still makes the gun effective but not so much as to outdo even the icebreaker
