Seriously? Why Black Hammer?
Honestly Bungie. What person in their right mind would do this to black hammer. That's what made it so good, and now it's just gonna be an average slow shooting sniper that doesn't reload. Why do you think it was so wanted? Because it was infinite ammo in a legendary. Now it's just useless.

Edit: Just to make some of you realize
1)Triple Tap would be more useful
2)Black Hammer is now just a legendary that can skip the reload animation
3)Black Hammer is just a slow shooting sniper that can skip the reload animation.

5 RepliesWhite nail was previously exotic level and you know it. Now, it is actually more on the legendary side and still has higher impact than many other snipers. 21 shots is still plenty for most bosses, so it's not like it's awful anymore. Quit being so dramatic, it's still gonna be a great sniper. This game needed a change, and here we have it, a great rebalance to change up diversity in PvP and new tactics for PvE. Good work, Bungie (no sarcasm)

I don't want my BH nerfed either but I understand it. It's pretty much an exotic weapon in it's current form. After the patch, it's still going to instantly reload, just that it will also use ammo. Which you will have more of in reserve, btw. I guess now we'll just have to start picking up all those little green boxes laying around everywhere.

1 ReplySeriously the black hammer nerf is bs. Haven't I put enough time into this game to earn this perk and weapon? Then to screw with icebreaker regen for the love of god those 2 nerfs are a giant mistake. I can deal with the gally nerf but doing this to icebreaker and gally is going to far.

3 RepliesNobody complained about the Black Hammer, no need to fix it. Same goes for the icebreaker, wtf. Those guns don't ruin your decaying game, most people don't even use the strategies you thought were such a problem. Also decreasing the effectiveness of shotguns in PvE... are you high, the problem was only with PvP. Don't make changes that are unnecessary. Now Captains will laugh in our face when we are at close range.

35 RepliesThis along with the Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker nerfs and the removal of burns on skolas is just a continuation of bungie trying to make you less lazy guardian. Are you not bored of just sitting on a pipe firing non-stop at a tank? Or standing anywhere and constantly staggering a boss until he melts? Bungie want us to actually have to do at least a bit of the fight going on, which is a good thing. [spoiler]spoiler tangent I honestly hope the Icebreaker nerf stops everyone cheesing the bridge section of crota. Seriously guardians we're lvl 34 (well a lot of you) and it's not that hard, it's much more fun and can be done just as fast as most cheese runs take.[/spoiler]

18 rounds in reserve 3 in the chamber You still get to fire 21 consecutive shots, that is more than enough for most bosses

If black hammer is pretty much an exotic how about you just grandfather it in as an exotic and leave the perk as is ! I have yet to see another sniper with this perk. Might as well grandfather everyone that has it by upgrading with a shard to an exotic. And anyone that gets it from crota will receive it as an exotic. Just like how vex drops only in "VoG" make "black hammer" the exotic from crota. Who agrees?

2 RepliesI don't know what they're thinking nerfing two of the most sought after weapons in the game. Black Hammer keeps players doing normal Crota's End and Gjallarhorn keeps people playing everything.

I'm officially not interested in black hammer at all now. I just lost my last reason to play crota's end. Nice work, Bungie. I don't know why they always feel like they need to fix things that aren't broken and ignore real problems.

They should just make landing 3 precision shots refill the magazine with a special ammo synth (no cooldown) Lord knows we all have plenty to spare....
