No the main perk was never ment to give infinite ammo it was ment to work like all other precision perks take ammo out of your inventory without needing the reload

If it was meant to do that you think they would have done that in the first place? Or did they screw up and then forget about it till now? It definitely was meant for infinite ammo, just like ice breaker and invective can have infinite ammo only black hammer (not being an exotic) you had to work toward your infinite supply. Now they've gone and screwed it all up. TLDR: I'm salty...
