I am going to leave my original comment in a spoiler for posterity, mostly because I hate when I find something like this and I'm all nosy and I can't read parts.
But this issue has been resolved, this group isn't bullshit they actually come from a really admirable position.
I personally wish to apologize for coming at this thread confrontationally because of an experience in another one of the groups riddle threads, that was wrong on my part.
The conflict stemmed from miscommunication and has been resolved completely from my perspective.
Keep up the brain scramblers guys!
Guys please realize this group is clickbait.
I gave the correct answer in one and was told "no" so they could keep the bumpfest going.
If you will, I'd like to insert my two-cents. As the founder of this group, my intention--my ONLY intention--was to shift attention from negative things that permeate and consume these forums, specifically crying for nerfs and buffs, complaining about the new financial situation of TTK, the "Day 1 Snowflake Blizzard," you get the point. I too cared (and still care) for the community, so I urge the members to post many riddles and to promote the group as well, solely for the purpose of expanding what I consider to be a thought-provoking, purely fun activity. Based off of this alone, you can indeed say that we are seeking attention of the utmost variety. As for the riddle you're referring to, I understand where you're coming from. I've been shafted on guesses and down-spoken because of it many times. And the most hurtful part of this whole thing is that you're right. the members of my group have not been treating their metaphorical "customers" with the respect they deserve. While I believe wholeheartedly that the maker of that riddle had every intention of giving the answer as soon as it was guessed, obviously he had a very specific mindset, one that not you or anyone else could have possibly predicted. Furthermore, once you confronted my group members, they replied with the same malice and hurt that was given to them, strictly in my opinion. Starting a critique off with "That was the worst riddle I've ever seen," usually doesn't spark a purely logical and civilized debate. Moreover, the ones who met your argument did not have any intention of being civil, and to my dismay have teamed up in the practice of insulting and discrediting what was a very viable answer. My intentions remain the same; I plan for this group to hack away at this forum's negativity wherever it shows itself, not to "fight back," but to contain and douse. Believe me when I say that the members of Destiny Riddlers will be confronted with this task more urgently than ever. I'm sorry for the way that they have treated you, and indirectly, I've treated you as well. For that, you have my sincerest apologies. And lastly, you have my promise that if you're ever to tread of these riddles again, you'll be met with a neutral (if not friendly) response, so far as you do the same.

Obviously you are a kind person and it is very reassuring that someone "who gets it" is behind the whole thing. I was second guessing myself wondering if I should have just let it go or something. But as I thought about it I realized that if I had run that riddle and it was brought to my attention I would have reacted more how you are and less how some other people were. I just wanted to scream "I don't care about me personally getting the riddle damn it, I just want to know this is legit!" Thanks to your reply I know it is. And I do think that what you guys do is positive and anything to make bungie dot net more like a community and less like a zoo of complainers and trolls is a very good thing. And I want to also apologize. I was a little harsh, granted it stemmed from getting nowhere trying to point it out on the original riddle thread, but it was on me for bringing that into another thread and being confrontational right off the bat. Hindsight being what it is I would have much rather had gone about it a different way, and if I wasn't coming out of the gate with "eh you guys are bullshit" (more or less) I'm sure the guys on this thread would have also been a lot less defensive. Thanks again and I'm really glad to put this to bed on a positive note, and you can mention to the group that your worst critic is now a fan. I also edited my first comment.

You have no idea how happy I am to see that. So glad we can rectify the most uncomfortable of situations. Perhaps there's hope for this community yet!

Hello gem , please understand that we all make mistakes , so please come and enjoy another riddle some time . - signed very egotistically Osiris the exile

Bro. First off, that was a complete troll post. I wish you could've seen the chat in the group, it was basically the heads of the group telling the guy who posted the riddle that he was stupid and screwed up. Second, the answer was nothing, as in nothing. You guessed empty space in your inventory. The answer was nothing, in general. Not even close to the same thing. Don't go trashing the group because one guy made a troll riddle, and because you had a close guess but didn't get it right.
-
Yeah that riddle was bull
-
But gem did get the answer wrong
-
Hey don't worry about it the issue is taken care of.
-
what was your answer bub? I bet you 20 bucks it's wrong
-
I can understand that you're mad that your answer wasn't correct when it was technically the same thing. I get that, but you have no right to stereotype the entire group based off of one riddle. We were joking around with the idea of making a riddle with no answer, and he ended up actually making a riddle with "nothing" as the answer. It was a mistake, and he apologized for it. I wouldn't go into your house and call your family a bunch of shitheads because you made a mistake, so I suggest you do the same.
-
No, you didn't. You probably have an answer that YOU think is the same thing as the correct answer. But if someone told you no then you are wrong. If you were a part of this group you would know that we don't care about "bumps". The riddles are made for fun and if you really believe someone did you an injustice then please link me the post and prove me wrong.

Empty space was the answer, it's the same as nothing in the context of that riddle (being an empty space in our inventory.) I could see they get off on no one getting it right, I got it right by they didn't want to end the party, simple as that.
-
Hmm yea that riddle was kinda messy. Technically empty space isn't the same thing as nothing but the person who made that riddle apologized for it and he really didn't mean for it to be "trolly". And about being "click bait" I mean is that even a thing on the Destiny forums like really? Join the group and see for yourself we are doing this for fun.

What was it
-
What was it
It was a different riddle but the answer was empty space (something in your inventory, most useful but most useless, blah blah) I recognized the classic "hole in a bucket" riddle clumsily shoe-horned into being destiny related right away. Was told "no" so they could string the bumpfest along for another two hours and then they said the answer was "nothing." Complete bullshit.
