2589. That's the year Reach is supposedly re-colonized. Is there any lore beyond 2558? I'm interested in what Bungie had in plan.. Maybe 343 will expand upon in?

2589 is the furthest point in the lore Bungie defined in any way. Prior to Halo: Reach, the furthest point Bungie defined was March 3rd, 2553. The furthest point 343i's defined is 2559 though. You can read about that year in Halo: Evolutions' short story 'The Return'.
