Recently started using fusion rifles in PvP. Still getting the timing down with my re-rolled Final Rest, but those kills are -blam!-ing satisfying, right?? Think I'll roll up a Frenzy, next.
Just looking to hear what you think makes a good FR. Stability? Range? Is it all about that charge rate?
Any tips on upping my lethality(that's a word, probably...) are always welcome.
Thanks for the input.

Edited by Ovanite: 7/11/2015 1:21:19 AMCheck out the Give/Take Equation on my Hunter. For PvP you are going to want a quick charge time and good range. You want to be able to take down shotgunners before they get within range.

Techeun force with accelerated coils. You will never go back

Edited by k78478k: 8/1/2015 8:05:06 PMPraetorian foil with perfect balance is best.
-
Dismantle....yes Best perk possible
-
Depends if you like hip firing or using sights. I prefer sights and have Perun's Fire with Rangefinder, Accelerated Coils and Hidden Hand. It's a beast in pvp for sure.

I was using my plug.one in crucible yesterday, and I was doing amazing with it. It basically has all maxed stats except charge rate. Take a look on my warlock.
-
Hidden hand and accelerated could are always nice. I definitely recommend the final rest as it's the best legendary fusion IMO. I'm PvP you want to look for high charge rate and high impact. Plan C it's hands down the BEST fusion rifle in pvp because of its high impact and charge rate

Hip fire is good.

Split Shifter Pro is probably your best PvP fusion rifle because with an already fast charge rate, you can use your other perks for stability and range. Good perks: anything that increases stability and range. Stability>Range. With maxed stability, the damage drop off is negated by the fact you're hitting them with the entire burst. Range is a close second though. Hidden Hand has proven to be quite good, especially with max stability. Accelerated coils if you have a slow charging fusion rifle.

Picked up a Split shifter with Hot Swap and Hip Fire. Choice between Quickdraw and Accel Coils.

Perun's Fire: Rangefinder / Hidden hand

Check mine it's good

I personally love both the Peruns Fire and the Purifier VII. If you can't find those look for a Snakebite Surgeon. The key to a fusion is finding the right balance of impact and charge rate. For example The Frenzy, while it has a monumental charge time. Has actually bad impact for a fusion. Same for Light in the Abyss. On the other end lies something like the Trolley Problem. Huge amounts of impact while charge time suffers. What I recommend is look for one of the 3 I just mentioned as I use and roll your personal preference. A must have is accelerated coils. So that takes up the middle tree. The primary modifications are various but the best (for close range operations) are hip fire, hidden hand, etc. Long range is different because fusions need help in that. I personally like rangefinder and unflinching. On 2 of my 3 fusions I have rangefinder but no unflinching. As long as I have my coils it's okay but if you can't roll coils then get unflinching. Without one of those 2 you're in trouble (all 3 of mine have coils)

I've done extensive testing. Range is the most important stat. The higher the range, the quicker the bullets travel. You still need average stability, but range is what you want. Try to roll for rangefinder. This along with accelerated coils makes your fusion rifle a monster. But they are still very inconsistent lol.

I have a Give/Take Equation with hipfire / accelerated coils / rangefinder that's an absolute beast, but I also enjoy my Perun's Fire with hipfire / braced frame / hot swap in the crucible.
-
My best one would be The Calming. Really high base charge rate with Rangefinder and Perfect Balance. I could almost land all my beams from quite a distance with it.
-
And you need an excellent connection to the game, otherwise I've hit players 5 feet away and they don't take damage.
-
One thing to bear in mind is that Accelerated Coils actually reduces damage. It doesn't show it, but you can test it for yourself
-
On my Perun'a Fire, I have hip-fire and rangefinder, and then one of the new perks that boosts Range and Stability but limits reload and mag size
-
I've got Snakebite Surgeon with Hip Fire, Accelerated Coils, and Hot Swap... I'm in love with Fusion Rifles all over again ;)
-
Praetorian Foil is not only the best fusion rifle, but it can one-shot oracles.
-
Hip Fire and Icarus. Jumping=Laser
-
You want unflinching and range finder They are amazing rolls for a fusion rifle plus accelerated coils
-
Praetorian Foil, or my Hunter's "The Frenzy"
-
You want unflinching, accelerated coils and rangefinder
-
Love my frenzy on my hunter but wish it had hipfire insted of hidden hand
