PS4, it has better graphics across the board, it doesn't have a percentage of its power reserved for an already defunct camera. its hard drive can be changed with ease rather than you having to spend wedge on a USB 3.0 external hard drive. It is more reliable, I sell both consoles and the return rate is 4/1 against Xbox, if its not the console its the pad or the headset. You don;t need to pay £20 for stupid headset adapter that breaks on a PS4. PS4 had a problem initially with pads and the rubber splitting but I've not had one of those return in a good few months.
Xbox one and the playing of old games. Lol, it'll fry, all M'Soft have done is built an emulator on top of the OS which will just heat the machine up more than it needs to be. As a seller I am unhappy about it as machines will break and M'soft will not take responsibility for it claiming the machine has been abused.

Wouldn't it be easier to plug in your Usb hard drive than take off the top of the ps4 and change the hard drive manually? Also usb hard drives can have massive amounts of space so it'd be easier to get one. While the Xbox one can be unreliable sometimes, that's not to say the ps4 is as perfect as everyone claims it to be. It has its own issues like when the store won't load requiring a system reset. Now both consoles share the problem of Xbox live and psn going down but in all honesty psn goes down or has issues more than the Xbox live. And thank god the Xbox one is getting a new interface that'll really help because I feel like a majority of the Xbox ones issues come from how clunky and glitchy its current interface is. Oh and as a preview member and being able to use the backwards compatibility it works perfectly. Haven't run into any issues. So youre baseless assumption is wrong. I'm not saying the Xbox one is better than the ps4, it's just not as bad as you claim it to be.

Its not a baseless assumption, it is an emulator and that is exactly how they wok. They are demanding as its an OS on top of another OS. I didn't say the Xbox one was bad, I said the PS4 was a lot better. Doesn't mean the Xbox One is a bad console but I think the "backwards" compatibility has got a lot of people very excited but its important to understand that its not without its cost, possibly to reliability.

Oh shit. Spitting facts are we. Lol I know but I've never heard a thing with ps4 Xbox I hear about them freezing, crashing, taking forever to load. Ps4 all I've ever heard about was servers but they believe one time a serve went down for a couple days they believe that the servers now suck but there hasn't ever been issues ever since

Its based upon the number of Xbox One consoles returned faulty against the number of PS 4 Consoles returned faulty. As maths is a universal language its based on a lot more than perspective and opinion. Additionally the PS4 has massively outsold the Xbox one globally. Now it doesn't always hold true that the majority are right and the minority are wrong but more often than not that is indeed the case. Much as I admire your Obi Wan, "from a certain point of view." argument due to the nostalgia it really isn't perspective and opinion when one uses statistical analysis.

Yes I am. If people will blindly follow one thing, why would that not apply to something else. Example being person a, b, and c all buy console x. Person d not wanting to be left out buys console x strictly because the other three have it. Same applies with social media. Person a,b, and c post something about a dog killing someone. Person d doesn't ask if there was more to it, they just assume the dog is to blame.

Microsoft have far more money to throw around advertising the Xbox One yet its sales compared to Playstation have failed to deliver. If we go with your notion that its a trend, hegemony, neo-liberal media, the elite then the Xbox would be winning the advertising would have worked. That why we have the type of blame the dog news that you portrayed, short, sharp content spreading fear followed by and advert to stay in buy an Xbox One because some guy from Breaking Bad has one. The Xbox advertising campaign was far bigger than Sony's PS4 campaign. Its also the case that as the average gamer age has increased to being in their thirties and is still overwhelmingly male. Men like to research before buying electrical products, its considered the thing to do, its statistics, just like sports or cars with the horsepower what's under the hood mentality. A mentality driven very much by the media culture you refer to. Chomsky gives a lot of insight in to this in Manufacturing Consent which I assume you have read.

No, I have not read that. Microsoft has spent more money on advertising, yes, but their initial reveal screwed them over with sales which is why we saw the PS4 take an early lead. Even at this point it is still winning because the perception is that Microsoft is the worse console. My brother-in-law does not have Internet and asked me the other week if Microsoft's console still required a check-in. The perception is still there for most people, regardless of it being incorrect. Despite an overwhelming access to information, there are still a massive amount of people who are either uniformed or incorrectly informed.
