I've played for two months, ran both raids on normal and hard over past couple of weeks. I'm not one of those that is obsessed with getting a ghorn. Played many mmo rpgs and always seen rare items as something to work towards. Was not expecting to see one for a long time. Jumped in a lfg group for nightfalls on all 3 characters today, first run got nothing special while the other two got obsidian mind and the ram. Second run got to the end and I got stuck jumping into safe spot and got hammered by minotaurs before boss popped up. The other two already being in spot stayed and killed boss like they should have. So after laying there watching thier fine work we get to the rewards screen and up pops ghorn for me. Long story short, I EARNED MY GJALLARHORN, I DIDN'T XUR IT LIKE A NOOB. I KICKED THE SHIT OUT OF RNGESUS. [spoiler]I told the other two I felt dirty by getting it that way. One of them left group and didn't stay for third run. Other guy said he had a replacement come in for last boss last week, shot boss once and died. He got a gjallarhorn. Made me feel a little better about the way I got one.[/spoiler]

I have yet to get one of those. No matter what I do I never seem to get one. And yet here is my one friend who gets two back to back from VoG. I just can't get one for myself

First gally, joined a nightfall with a team that invite me, they were with the boss alrdy, I only shoot a couple rounds and he died.... and got gally, I guess they regret inviting me =P second gally droped for me as a consolation price from losing an iron banner match, was fun cause was telling my bro, this game is bs always the same, its super unfair..... and gally poops for me being 4th and have lost... I laugh so hard, and told him... see?. And a couple weeks ago got a gally from a legendary engram.... wasnt expecting that.... never get anything good of them

This one time I got Gjallarhorn on a drop. It...was....amazing.

FIRST GHORN AFTER 1300 hours thank you Atheon hard

Mine was from Crota Hard. I went through the whole raid with my clanmates, and got babooned right as we got to the Crota CP(modem went down briefly). I messaged the problem to my buddy who had invited me to do the raid and he said, jump right back in. So I do, and they're having a decent first run, and I'm thinking: "Ok, it's the first run, there's always a wipe on the first run, so I'll jump in with Hunger and help out when they wipe." Spoiler alert: They didn't wipe. They killed Crota, and I receive a Helmet and some Radiant Shards for free... Then I hear: "Sarge, you got a Gjallarhorn, mate! You <insert UK expletives here>". I told my friend to stop messin around. The argument went on til we left for orbit and sure enough...got a Gjallarhorn...for free. Doesn't beat my other friend's story of fetching Horn out of an Exotic chest on a drunken VoG Hard Mode run. But hey. It's Gjallarhorn.
