There are a number of exotics that don't get any real usage because their either overshadowed by a better option or just aren't that good.
Here are some ideas on how to make them become serious contenders for our attention again:
Nechrochasm
Increase damage by 15%, increase magazine size by 25%, add cursed thrall explosion to ALL kills.
Universal Remote
Universal Remote can be equipped in any slot. Primary slot increases fire rate, special slot increases range, heavy slot increases damage.
MIDA multi-tool
Switch between arc, solar or void much like Murmur.
Hard Light
All bullets pass through enemies up to three times allowing you handle crowds easier.
The more times a bullet bounces off of a surface the greater the damage it causes
Monte Carlo
Every kill with your melee attack, increases the damage of the next clip by 15%
Patience & Time
Precision kills turn you invisible.
Pocket Infinity
Unlimited rounds until you miss a shot, after which a cool down of 30 seconds is required.
Dragons' Breath
One rocket in the chamber.
Each rocket creates a solar flare that magnetizes nearby enemies pulling them inwards. Once in the flare they continually take damage, the flare gets bigger with each kill and upon there being no nearby enemies explodes into a X shaped scorch mark on the ground.

Mida is actually a fairly used exotic in pvp (as in it's a step down from the same 3 exotics you see all the time). Also, hard light is good in PvP if you know how to use it
