I play Destiny on PS4 and XB1, the differences are that PS4 has more content and exclusives, the user interface is slicker and faster, loading times in game are faster and the server connections are more reliable (on XB1 I get an errors twice a day, on PS4 it's once per week). PS4 graphics are slightly better with effects and shadows but since Destiny is a cross platform game you wouldn't expect much difference. PS4 controllers are also better in that they are higher quality although the new XBOX Elite controller looks good.

Xbox One was built to be a home entertainment system not a gaming system so that's why PS4 looks better preforms better and what ever because Sony looked back at the PS2 (which was a beast) and say that sales were much better because it was a gaming console. They repeated that with the PS4 so it runs better and Microsoft wanted to experiment with an entertainment console.

The original PS2 was marketed as a home entertainment system because it could play DVDs. PS3 because it could play BluRay. Sony did a very good PR move while Xbox were messing theirs up and changed their tune and instead of the usual all in one entertainment system they said it was a games console.

You are right but when people learned that the PS2 way a beast gaming console it skyrocketed in sales then it was marketed a little more as a gaming console. Man now I wished I had kept my PS2 I loved that thing so much and had a Hella time playing battle front and red faction.

Don't get me wrong I loved my PS2 but it wasn't a beast of a console. The original Xbox was much more powerful and literally was a beast (thing is huge). I still have mine since no emulation exists and the controller is not bad with replacement Xbox One sticks :-)

Edited by i TM4n: 7/9/2015 9:30:54 PMWhich the XB1 is starting to do also. I think it has more to do with the price drop tho really. Has been a trend that the console with the cheapest starting price tends to do well.
part of the reason why the PS3 sold less than the 360 initially. It caught up a bit more towards the end
Edit: forgot to say I also miss all my old consoles and games, I wish I kept them all but I would have no space anywhere

You forgot psn goes down more often and for longer periods then xbox live

PS4 Controllers suck... They're too light...

both controllers are good, although the sticks on the XB1 feel a bit "wobbly" and have less tension, I use KontrolFreeks on both which makes them more useable for FPS I've heard XB1 controllers break quite often, I've had problems with the A button sticking on mine oh and changing batteries all the time is a pain :D

That's actually very subjective and unlike Xbox, there are Xbox style controllers for PS3. I'm not sure about PS4 though
