200 Vanguard marks for 1 Etheric Light
200 Crucible marks for 1 Etheric Light
This would have an automatic weekly cap since you can't earn 200 a week.
Boom. Best idea ever made. Bring it.
EDIT: I want to thank everyone for their support for this idea. Even the people who disagreed politely. I have no illusions that this idea will ever be implemented, but it's still nice to see that I'm not the only person here who thinks this could work.

Lately I haven't even cared that I'm at 200 because there's nothing I want to buy with them. Armor I don't want so I can break it down for motes of light that I already have too many of? Ditto for weapons... And materials are much easier to come by now too so I only need to but relic iron every so often... Don't get me wrong, I love it that I don't have to farm for stuff anymore, but I wish there was something useful to buy with marks. In the past I would always buy weapons or armor for ascendant material since I needed that for upgrades. But now breaking down new stuff doesn't give that anymore sooooooo
