I mean Hard VoG, Hard CE's, Hard PoE all against A.I. Why isn't flawless ToO involved in the year one Emblem? Is it because it's PvP? Maybe because it's to hard for people, but still it is one of the big four things to do each week so why isn't it involved? I think it should be involved. Maybe not even flawless but at lest completing one passage coin with 9 wins doesn't need to be flawless . What do you guys think? Should it be included?
Please Bump it you think ToO should be involved.
Edit: And also for PvE I have never done a hard raid and I am going to have get through them. And then PoE on hardest is not going to be fun as I hate PoE. So I don't see why I have to go through something I hate and am not every good at (I will get through them tho) and all the PvE people don't have to go through PvP, I really think 9 wins in one trails run should be there, just to make in even between PvE players & PvP players.
Edit 2: To everyone saying that it is to hard to get to the lighthouse This is for the Bungie Update after the first week of ToO
"If you stood Trial in the Burning Shrine, step forth to be counted.
3,798,561 = Trials of Osiris matches played
118,627,301 = Kills (or Deaths, if your glass be half-empty)
188,442 = Players visited the Mercurial promised land
299,001 = Guardians scored a perfect scorecard"
So 188,442 made it to the lighthouse... in the first week...
Edit 3: A great idea for Mr Raaad who says that a minimum grimoire requirement might be a good thing to add as well, Say 3000.
Edit 4: To everyone saying that if Flawless Trials is there, then flawless raider would have to be there as well. I would love this as it would give me a reason to get good at PvE again.
Edit 5: Thanks to everyone who voted and commented

I don't want bungie stuffing pvp down my throat. Don't get me wrong I would consider myself decent but playing crucible is just not fun.
-
Because Destiny players are already full of elitists. Y'all got an exotic emblem. You remind me of little kids that go "I know we got this but I want more". Also the raid requirements literally only need the last checkpoint, for Crota that's literally just "have a decent rocket and a swordbearer".

Edited by Joy Boy: 7/8/2015 5:56:34 PMIt is not a common mode. The trials appear at the end of each week until Tuesday. Everything on the Triumphs is something that can be obtain through common modes (anything that appears DAILY) (......DAILY!! XD ) Even if a player does not like certain modes, they have more than enough chances to achieve the triumphs (......DAILY!!!) as the year is not up. The Iron Banner is also not a part of the triumphs because it is not something that can be played more often (ie.....DAILY!!) There is a reason the word "entitlement" is often used for these types of threads.

Edited by iDare2Defy: 7/8/2015 5:13:40 PMI do not agree. 188,000 people is nothing compared to the 10,000,000 people that probably play this game. That's like 1% of the player base. Unfortunately, for most people that strictly do PvP, games like Destiny aren't meant for those types of players. It makes perfect sense that the requirements are mainly PvE oriented. They're actually achievable for most of the player base. Knowing how messed up the Crucible and Trials is with all the lag problems/lag switchers/DDOS pansies, it would have been a major mistake to make that a requirement. I will say having achieved level 5 Iron Banner would have been an okay requirement. With matchmaking, it is easily attainable for anyone, regardless of skill. If they were going to include winning 100 crucible matches, they should have at least included something complimentary that is also "special" to PvP. I will give you that. Just imagine how many of those millions of casual gamers that would have flipped their shit if Trials was a requirement. They far outweigh the flawless guys. Trials is hard because it's meant to be. You guys get the only exotic emblem, sweet looking gear and awesome weapons. That is your triumph.

So in a game of 10 million or players, you want the emblem to be ToO related? Flawless runs to the lighthouse already has an Emblem, you don't need to tie this one to it.
-
Sure! Also, Atheon, Crota and Skolas should only count if done flawlessly.
-
I went to the lighthouse but it shouldnt be required Those raids and stuff are way easier than trials You have until September, anyone who cant find a team by then has no one to blame but themselves Trials is different though even with a good team
-
Because, this emblem isn't suppose to show that you are the best at everything, it's suppose to show you have complete some of the big points in destiny. such as the raid bosses.
-
Because you already get an emblem for going flawless. And because the year one emblem is not about being hard. It's about experiencing a bit of everything.
-
I WENT FLAWLESSSSSS YEAH BITCH
-
Not sure what you mean by not having to do Pvp to get triumphs emblem?! We need 100 wins in crucible to complete triumphs challenge. Thats a whole lot more play time for people who play mainly pve than for you to have to complete 2 raids and Skolas. In order for trials to be included it would have to be something a little more obtainable, like maybe 3-5 wins on a single passage. I do agree iron banner could've been included but 100 crucible wins really does tie them all in.
-
Not only can they not change it to trials, they won't change it.
-
Is it possible for the enemy A.I. in PvE to occasionally screw you over at the last second on a raid boss? Is it possible that the enemy A.I. will turn invulnerable due to suddenly dropping to red bars, or kick your whole fireteam to orbit when you were so close to a flawless run? As I recall, there wasn't a "Rank 5 in Iron Banner" requirement either, although that's not really much of an achievement. I think the whole point of the Triumphs is to celebrate the things most year one players have experienced, not an aspect of the game that is now so suspect to cheating and "the new pvp meta".
-
ToO is hardly a "test of skill", it's nothing but thorn/tlw and final round snipers, connections are garbage as well. If bungievision really wants to keep pushing pvp on everyone, they need some dedicated servers.
-
The emblem is for year 1 players, not for the elite players
-
Shouldn't be included as there is already an emblem for that.
-
don't you already have an emblem from ToO. How much attention do you want? Do you really need more confirmation that you are a special little snowflake? Destiny is primarily a PvE game with a small PvP aspect- that is why you only need 100 crucible wins for the triumph emblem. Besides the ToO people already get the best PvE guns from HoW, what more do you want?
-
That's all covered in crucible wins... To put the trails on the list (flawless)separate would be nuts plus you can't really lag switch out the AI ... Just saying trails are broke so just having crucible wins was enough
-
That would be unfair to year one players or even day one players who can do everything else but lack skill in pvp.
-
The year one emblem is meant to celebrate the community not a sub group- but the whole community. Your trying to make majority not get it. And yes I have been to the lighthouse multiple times.
-
Because lag makes PvP damn near unplayable for a lot of people.
-
Edited by Doc SoCal: 7/8/2015 3:50:12 PMThat will be for year two right after they start selling an official lag switch for 50.00.
-
You make an argument of "why should o do something I hate" when referring to the raid challenges but then say the lighthouse should be a requirement? The same argument can be used. You're a hypocrite.
-
with as shitty as their connection problems are (still a loss even when it's not your fault!) and the rampant cheaters/lagswitchers about, i'm glad they didn't include it. i would hope that's their reasoning, too -- "sorry guys, we know ToO has problems, we're working on making things better so that maybe next year we'll be able to proudly include it in the festivities" or something along those lines.
-
So, not only do you want the 9-0 people to be the ONLY ones who can go to Mercury and obtain some of the best guns in the game and an exotic emblem, you also want them to be the ONLY ones who get the year one emblem? How does that make any sense? That deprives the MAJORITY of the community from getting the year one emblem. You also mentioned "So I don't see why I have to go through something I hate and am not every good at...". I am not very good at PVP and I don't enjoy it, so I should have go through it to get a year one emblem? Doesn't that sound kind of hypocritical of you? Listen, man, the raids are not very hard anymore as we are over-leveled. it's a 6 person event that you can LFG and easily complete or be carried through. I can't LFG a flawless Trials run. I will never go to Mercury unless some elite PVP duo takes pity on me.
-
9 out 10 of the completions are related to pve, Trials pvp already has its own emblem which, correct me if i'm wrong, is an exotic.
