Im constantly getting network errors (caterpiller and the like) as well as getting disconnected from xbox live. It sometimes wont happen for a few hours and but other times it happens constantly like every 5 minutes. I know its not my cables or console or stuff like that because when im in other locations my connection is stable.
The only difference is where Im at right now I have comcast internet and I remember reading something about comcast having connections problems with destiny. Comcast is less than helpful in this case, they suggest fixes that make it worse and never call back to see if anything changed even when they are the ones saying they will call to check the connection issue.
Is there a way to make comcast not constantly disconnect my destiny games? its gets really annoying having to spend 2 hours on a mission because my connection wont stay long enough to complete the mission.

Edited by Pokelda2: 7/7/2015 9:35:24 PMEverything you said about what effects your connection makes sense. Which is why my connection issue is even more perplexing. Ive run destiny on 2 different connections. The first one is the one im having issues with. ISP comcast. speed 100mbps down not sure about up but enough for at least 1 MB per second upload. connection: ethernet cable straight to the router. stability: awful, disconnecting and network errors at all hours of the day. but only on destiny just sitting in a party at the home screen or on other games doesnt seem to present any problems. The other connection ive used. ISP century link speed 7mpbs down .75 up (on a good day) connection ethernet cable straight to router (same cable as above) stability is great, no drops, minimal lagging, slightly higher latency due to satelite internet. (2 people playing destiny at once both using xbox live party system, as for the comcast connection im the only one using it). so the thing is im using the same cables same console, same game disk on a connection that has almost no bandwidth and that one runs 2 people on destiny flawlessly. here im on a 100mpbs comcast connection and on average i lose connection every 10-15 minutes sometimes as bad as 2-3 minutes. On the century link connection I have done nothing to make it work just plug everything in and it runs perfectly. on the comcast connection in order to try and resolve the previously stated issues ive: 1. port forwarded all the ports that destiny uses (according to bungie) 2. set my routers firewall to low security. (the century link one is moderate or high) 3. set up port triggering. 4. set a static ip address on my console 5. set a static ip on my console through my router. 6. put my consoles static IP address in the DMZ (allows device on that ip address to open all ports) despite all those things on the comcast connection I still get disconnected frequently and get network errors mainly caterpiller frequently and at all hours of the day. so all those changes have done nothing to make it better. Ive even had comcast "recalibrate my router" whatever that means and that didnt do anything either, if anything it made it worse. to the other people having this issue what IPS do you have? and what country are you living in?
