I was just looking through the new armory feature and discovered that the intrusion ghost shell is there. Any ideas on what it means?

I wonder..

Apparently, it was originally implemented into the game to allow Bungie to catch people glitching into areas they weren't supposed to be in. That's why everyone who had it received a ban, permanent or otherwise I can't tell you.
-
Used to be aquairable pre dark below by glitching into an area on earth but would cause a ban
-
Have you seen this?
-
Have you seen the dead ghost in crucible when someone is killed? Somehow it looks exactly like the intrusion shell...

Throw money at the screen. That seems to work.

There are more in the database according to planet destiny. They have been in there the whole time but no enabled. The one guy who apparently hacked it to use it got his account disabled. It wouldn't surprise me if it is going to be a year one reward as it looks like it matches the all black shader and sparrow. http://db.planetdestiny.com/items/ghostshells

One of the many items that has been in game for a year now, but you can't have it... Maybe after you have paid enough in DLCs you can... But not until Bungie exhausts their carrot. There are like 6 or 7 in the game, and have been since day one.

It was probabley an ultra rare thing and then you could get it with hacks by using their account or something
-
It's in the game. You get it with the Ghost Edition.
-
Fate of all Fools is in the list of weapons for the armory as well.
-
It's listed as a special orders item so I'm guessing it'll be a $5 micro-transaction. You gotta throw money at your screen.

It's been in the game for quite a while now.
