Why is it that teenage girls appear to be statistically less intelligent than teenage guys?

Because. Society says that let all the smart people do the work, and you can relax. Example: So for a class at my old school, they had to make collage fact posters on specific collages. My last period teacher said it's weird that theirs more girls in collage then boys. I said "Because the stereotype given by society is that men should be buff and athletic, and women should be smart and sexy." And one of the football players started booing me.
