Riddle of the Fire and Flames
This Riddle was made by me, Cadence Chaos, DieselD4444, Vextra, Creep1ngDeath, and Awesome JZ
I am the only of my kind to venture so far. I used to provide freedom, but now I am only a reminder of slavery. When you venture through the flames into my domain, Beware. The mass of shattered warriors will crawl out from the schisms, to swallow light and life.
I remain balanced, where I belong. I have been gutted open, my veins cut and weak. I am left to rot, hanging to my past-self by these strings of curses.
Hint 1
Sometimes you will see me, and sometimes you won't. I am no longer of any use, but if you happen to realize my presence, you shall be given a reminder of your demise. The war stays strong, but I am no longer a combatant.
Hint 2
You have seen my kind on the red sands, yes? However I am far away from home. You may see me in a place somewhere beyond the solid surface planets. Somewhere my fellow allies will avenge my ruin.

As some have said, String of Curses is the exotic perk for the Bad Juju, a gun created by Toland, the Shattered, who could be said to have gone further than any of his Fireteam against Crota, if some speculation is to be believed. That leads me to believe the answer has something to do with the Hive... Urrox has a firey domain and Oryx has a massive army of shattered soldiers... But other than that, I've got nothing.

"I am the only of my kinds to venture so far" The fact that it is a surviving remnant of the Golden age, and has a completely different structure to all other auto rifles, also it is the only auto rifle that really prevailed in both pvp and pve "I am only a reminder of slavery" Our slavery to the relentless nerfs towards auto rifles and how we have been begging for a rebuff but do so in vain "Through the flames into my domain" The crucible, the domain ruled by the Suros in past and therefore is referred to as it's domain, also a common saying In crucible is 'trial by fire' "Beware. The mass of shattered warriors will crawl out from the schisms, to swallow light and life" Reference to how the crucible is now dominated by thorn and it's users, the thorn being a weapon of sorrow, and hive inspired The whole last paragraph is again a reference to how brutally the auto rifle nerfs were and how in the past they were the cream of the crop in pvp
