The atomic bombing of hiroshima and nagasaki .-. That was totally not needed. America has a habit of escalating problems JUST like germany during WWI/WWII. Oh and at least our leader doesn't kill his own people (jet fuel can't melt steel beams) rekt

Well we would've only dropped one of them but Japan was acting badass and didn't surrender. In the end it showed the world the evil of nuclear weapons and hopefully we never have to use them again.

Wrong! Japan was already going to issue a surrender but later than what america wanted. America "wanted to limit american casualties" and pretty much used that as an excuse to let loose utter destruction on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Japan was already going to issue surrender because their territories were getting systimatically air raided, their "battle ship strats" were decimated and basically it was them against THE LEAGUE OF SUPER EVIL (everyone lol.)

I would argue that dropping the atomic bombs saved lives. Not just American lives but lives around the world. Without the bombing of Japan we would have never really seen the terrible effects of these weapons, and we may not have had a second thought as to using more powerful weapons on the Soviet Union because we would have had nothing else to see to make us think about our actions.

We saved Britain in both ww1 and ww2 because Germany was winning in both when we entered.

More american and japanese lives would've been lost in the invasion. Also, more russian lives as russia had just declared war. The US also warned Japan to surrender or suffer mass destruction.
