FF XIV: Heavensward
50 + Hour story that continues the mediocre plot of ARR (much better)
Three new classes/jobs
New class quests for each and all classes
Flying mounts
6-10 expansive new areas
Level cap upped to 60 from 50
All new race
Amazing new mechanics.
New raid (hardest content in the game), more raids will continue to be released after endgame. Endgame raids take amazing communication and coordination to commit.
Areas are 50-100% larger than original environments
40 bucks for Ps3 and 50 bucks for ps4 and PC.
All new gear, dungeons, emotes, etc
All new redesigned enemies and some recoloured enemies with different abilities
Exciting gameplay
Raid matchmaking (24 man-8 man)
Exciting 8 man trials and dungeons
And a lot more. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/heavensward/
The Taken King
3 new subclasses
New exotics
Two new pvp modes
Redesigned guns
New campaign (pew pew pew)
6 pvp maps
One raid
Emotes and class items locked behind a 20 dollar paywall, so you are paying more than Heavensward, technically.
Boring and glitchy mechanics
1 new area
new armour
PS exclusive content again
no vault space
60 dollar price tag for everything.
reworked enemies
Held back by last gen
Updates take ages to come out
There you have it, folks. I picked up Heavensward the other day and it is simply amazing. The mechanics in FF XIV are very unique. Before I am flamed, I know FF XIV is not a shooter, but I am comparing it to destiny's paltry rpg story and mechanics. Heavensward is clearly the better buy, imo. Look at all the content it has when comparing to TTK. Hard mode for the new raid releases 2 weeks after the expansion releases, not 3-6 months.
I am convinced Bungie need more content to call TTK a major expansion.
