To be fair, if Batman: Arkham Origins is taken into consideration, Bruce would have only met Talia a few months or years after the Christmas he met Joker, so Damian would only be either a baby, an infant or a prepubescent (assuming he even exists). I don't really mind that he did turn out to be Jason Todd, but what irks me a bit is how he was marketed: that he'd be a new character, and how there was some attempted mystery behind what was under his cowl. You could say that giving him a new persona makes him a different character, but by that logic, Dick Grayson became a different person when he stopped being Robin and became Nightwing.
