…have to suffer the horrendous, tedious and worst internet provider that go by the name of Sky?
It is actually the worst thing ever. 3G on my phone is faster, and sometimes that's not during peek times.
My town is getting Fibre Optic in 3 months, any suggestions on what company to go with? I'm thinking Virgin so far.
-
Sky fibre is the best in the UK for gaming, no traffic management, so at peak times you don't get your internet throttled. Just a shame I can't get it in my new house. My d/l 3 upload 0.7 Now that is crap
-
Sky - worst broadband ever Got kicked to orbit yesterday, found out my router had switched off and wouldn't turn back on for 45 minutes
-
I left sky as in my area they are shite. Happy with BT infinity and never had a problem and always get higher upload and download speeds
-
Normal sky was horrendous. Upgraded to sky fibre and no problems so far. The WiFi range is pretty lame but all around good connection.
-
Hope your internet gets faster soon.
-
Definitely virgin. They may be a little more expensive, but definitely worth it
-
I use Virgin and never had any issues
-
I used to be with sky and left because I couldn't handle the poor speeds, I tried getting fibre for free off them. But they wouldn't. I switched to virgin and yes the Internet is awesome (when it works) but the tv package and the demand (or lack of) and features really is poor compared to sky.

Edited by StolenEyes: 7/14/2015 11:58:47 AMOur internet was ok with Sky. Some dropouts and disconnections. Switched to Virgin a few months ago, a bit cheaper, much more reliable and a damn sight faster. I say go for it.

Rip... EE ftw
-
My virgin connection seems to disconnect around 2am most of the time which is s pain, because all i do is reset the router for it to work
-
I joined Tiscali. They have been assimilated by TalkTalk. Can't really complain - a good service and without changing equipment it keeps getting faster! (now up to about 6Mbps when I started at 2Mbps) My Dad is on Plus net - they are possibly better still. Of course a lot depends on where you live and what the cabling to your local exchange is like - if it's 5 miles of aluminium you may never get a good service whoever provides it. (the Sky/Virgin/TalkTalk/Plusnet distinction only really begins from the exchange onwards). (cable is another matter all together of course).

Touch wood mine has always been good with sky
-
Im with sky had nothing but internet disconnecting this month especially when doing the boss fights in poe. Become really annoying and if u manage to speak to an actual person they basically blame everything on u and theres nothing they can do about it. Leave sky go with virgin or BT if ur in england. Much more better service. Im leaving sky today if i can find the number, having no internet makes searching sky for it quite immpossible. I FEEL YOUR PAIN

Suffering in London with Virgin Media.
-
Virgin. 152meg fibre. Pretty cheap too.
-
I'm on BT infinity, customer service is shit but it runs super fast even at peak times with multiple devices connected to it. Best to check your area first to see what runs best in my area for example Virgin doesn't get a stable enough connection for online gaming.
-
I'm with sky and have zero issues, maybe it's your region?
-
Virgin media mate.
-
Got Virgin 100 meg. No problems at all. So far.......
-
Im with bt fibre 50meg its ran like a dream and i have about 8 different devices linked upto it and never had a single issue.
-
Virgin is the best buddy. I was going to switch to sky till I found out 3mb was the best connection i could get
-
I thought the worst was tesco
-
The normal Sky is pish but the fibre is great. Get that instead.
-
I used to be on sky but I'm using BT now. They have the worst customer service you could ever think off. Like honestly terrible service!
-
I use sky. It can be really bad sometime but most of the time it's ok
