I've seen em in the trials, being able to clear a whole round solo like that can be very fetching. However in playlists like control and even clash I see more blade dancers because of the sheer possibility of more kills and greater mobility.

I usually do the opposite. I prefer Gubslinger to blade dancer for everything but trials. Arcbolt grenade is far superior than anything GS has as it's easy to just shoot a trip mine or slide passed it. Blink helps for dodge and running whereas triple jump just doesn't cut it. Blade dance also allows you to just blink and is far more effective to use and is generally harder to kill. Gunslingers are good in ToO but blade dance is much more effect for a 3v3 no respawn game type. However I think golden gun generates more kills per super
