Which one gets their loot system right?
Edit: haven't seen a single destiny yet lol

Borderlands wins no contest RNG isn't broken on that.

Edited by Ve7n00m: 7/9/2015 8:51:37 AMIn my eyes it's Borderlands. Loot drops from bosses is a MUCH better idea than complete RNG, also limiting a player to 1 chance a week is kinda lame. Farming bosses for loot with my mates whenever we felt like it was so much fun. Complete RNG is a lazy system, the evolution system in Borderlands 2 was miles better than anything Destiny has to offer (specifically referring to Verminous) Getting him to spawn was a bitch and getting him to drop a Norfleet even more so, but when it dropped and when you could share it with the people you just spent 9 hours doing with, man. EPIC! Obviously it got some stuff wrong like being able to dupe weapons for anyone but if they confined duping to only the players that were in your party when the weapon dropped, then that'd be perfect!

Destiny - because you repeat the same quests over and over again, witch I like cause you can ( over time ) get better at your gameplay and become a better gamer
-
Should i buy the Handsome Collectiob? Ive never played Borderlands.
-
I might pick up Handsome Collection. If I do what class/character do I pick?
-
Well......yeah
-
Borderlands is better than destiny in every possible way.
-
Is this even a question?
-
Borderlands still has a better story than destiny.
-
Borderlands, imo
-
I will sacrifice everybody who says destiny to the son of crabnox.
-
What is borderlands
-
Every element in destiny is done better by another game. The borderlands loot system absolutely shits on destiny's
-
Borderlands and destiny is like apples and oranges really. Borderlands (2 and presequel) has great gameplay and the characters and story are hilarious (with the right sense of humor). I do think the loot system in BL is much more accommodating and it's fun to kill a badass enemy and watch all the loot Pop out like a piñata. Destiny's loot system takes a lot of patience but the rewards feel so much sweeter as a result and it takes real coordination with party members to complete the more difficult stuff which is awesome.
-
Well if your talking about the loot system then obviously borderlands
-
Borderlands! What the hell were you thinking even including Destiny! Put another game with a loot system in besides Destiny.
-
Kills boss in Destiny: Gets shards Kills boss in Borderlands: LOOTSPLOSION!!!!!!!
-
Edited by Reign of Bane: 7/7/2015 8:14:29 PMBorderlands 2 especially but even the Pre-Sequel is better. Beats it in every respect except obviously Borderlands had no PvP. Anyone that has played Borderlands 2 and that travesty would know this to be the case.

Edited by Jerin Shaido: 7/7/2015 12:39:44 AMI have both borderland games, 1 & 2.. I've played them both at least a little bit. Spent more time on the first than the 2nd.. I enjoyed them, they were fun.. I've got so meny games.. I'm always going back to the old ones.. I haven't gotten back to finish either one of them.... Destiny, I play a lot.. It could be better but I'm enjoying it for what it is... I love the pve better than the pvp.. I can't get into the raids cause you need to have friends or some how make friends with other players in the game.. You can't just join up with random people... So that's a drag about that... I work all the time so I'm an on again and off of again kind of player... All of this dose limit the enjoy ability of the game.. Hopefuly what's coming out in sept will be a more thought out game.. We will have to wait to see..

Borderlands loot system is the unquestioned winner. I remember when Destiny was announced thinking that it sounded like borderlands but with a serious toned story line, but back then it sounded like some of the weapons names/ideas were a bit on the funny side too. That was what I was desperately hoping it would be. I still enjoy Destiny for what it got right but it's sad thinking of the squandered potential.
-
Lol that's a bit rough borderlands guns are why to OP for Methstiny
-
Only in Borderlands can you beat the living crap out of a boss and watch as 100+ weapons and other bits of loot fly everywhere.
-
Am i the only one who doesn't like borderlands?
-
Borderlands all though both have tons of annoying grinding
-
Borderlands has a better story
Which one gets their loot system right? Edit: haven't seen a single destiny yet lol
Anyone remember the glitch in Secret Armory of General Knoxx in the original BL? That was absolutely insane and amazing!
